Thanks Hyland Hills!

We want to thank the entire Hyland Hills community that we serve for its understanding and patience during the Covid-19 pandemic. We appreciate you because we are aware that program cancellations, facility closures and limitations have affected your life and the good-for-you recreational activities that you are accustomed to.

We assure you that the District will continue to do its part and when Hyland Hills is given the official go-ahead to resume full operations, we will be ready. Despite these challenging times, Hyland Hills has remained productive and here are a few examples of what we’ve been doing: • All District facilities are being maintained and thoroughly cleaned in observance of

Covid-19 protocols, with rules and operations also adjusted appropriately.

• Currently, we are building two new and exciting attractions in a newly reimagined area at Water World for 2021.

• Water World earned a

Certified Autism Center designation, making it the first Colorado theme park to earn such a certification to serve guests with autism and sensory issues.

• The District continues working with Adams

County on free Covid-19 testing in the Water

World parking lot.

• Accessibility adjustments have been made to

District websites for better navigation.

THE GREG MASTRIONA GOLF COURSES AT HYLAND HILLS • Athletic and fitness videos have been produced to help people workout at home and stay active.

• The Water World parking lot served as a

Senior Hub food distribution site until food ran out.

• Despite Covid-19 challenges,

Hyland Hills found a way to open and staff Splashland pool during the summer as a service to the community.

• A special “sandlot” youth baseball program was launched to provide much needed recreation to local kids.

• The Hyland Hills Recreation team ran a water aerobics class for seniors who needed some outdoor exercise during the summer.

• The District has kept its standout golf course facility running to max capacity by utilizing and retraining full-time employees who were deployed from other Covid-closed Hyland Hills facilities.

• By standing ready, Hyland Hills was able to open its gymnastics, fitness, and Ice Centre facilities quickly, with some participant limitations as official restrictions allowed, getting hundreds of users back to healthy recreating.

• Holiday Lights Mini Golf offered a safe and fun diversion for families restricted by

Covid-19 limitations.

Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District will continue to monitor the Covid-19 situation and we look forward to bringing all our programs and facilities to you as soon as we can. In the meantime, please stay safe and optimistic Hyland Hills!

Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District ACTIVITIES GUIDE SPRING/SUMMER 2021

We heard you Hyland Hills! The Hyland Hills Activities Guide has been available online at hylandhills.org since the pandemic began last year and will continue to be. However, some of you let us know that you like a printed copy as well to keep around and use all season long. We will be providing a printed copy biannually in March and September, mailed LIVE IN THE DISTRICT? STAY IN THE KNOW WITH GREAT DISCOUNTS! to your home as before, allowing you to see in print and plan for the fun Hyland Hills activities you and your family want to be a part of! Keep in mind though, that we will continue to expand programming as pandemic restrictions ease, so be sure to check in with us regularly online for updates at hylandhills.org.
