Labvolution 2023: Exhibition and certified training, all in one
How working in the lab might look like in the future will be demonstrated by Labvolution from 9 to 11 May 2023 in Hannover, Germany. Part of the trade fair for laboratory technology is once again a practice-oriented workshop by the Gläsernen Labor Akademie (GLA) from Berlin. The Laboratory 4.0 workshop for technical employees and laboratory technicians in the life sciences held on Tuesday 9 May is free of charge for visitors of the fair. Offering a versatile and practice-oriented training program, the GLA will once again be part of the Labvolution in May. The Berlin-based qualification experts have succeeded in attracting experienced speakers from industry to report on the latest topics from the field. The focus topic of the workshop is “Laboratory 4.0”. The workshop –held in German– is aimed at technical employees as well as laboratory technicians in the life sciences and is free of charge for Labvolution visitors. Advanced registration is not necessary. However, as the number of participants is limited, it is recommended to arrive early at the GLA workshop area in exhibition hall 19/20. The workshop Digitalisierung, Miniaturisierung und Nachhaltigkeit kicks off at 10.30 a.m. with an introduction to the subject of “Digitization and Miniaturization with the Fluidlab Technology” led by Dr Felix Lambrecht, Managing Director of anvajo GmbH. Inify Laboratories
Strong market interest and launch on track
Inify Laboratories, a fully integrated digital ultramodern laboratory service that provides cancer diagnostics within pathology, is on track for launch at the end of Q2 this year.
“We continue to make good progress with our laboratory. This first quarter has been dominated by work with installation, testing and documentation, to get the laboratory ready to serve public and private clinics with prostate cancer diagnostics,” says CEO Fredrik Palm at Inify Laboratories.
The company sees great interest from potential customers and has received positive feedback after attending several market and educational events.
“The interest among upcoming customers remains strong. We have deepened our existing dialogues with clinics, while also www.labvolution.de extending our reach to additional clinics. We are also receiving an increasing number of invites to various events and individual clinics,” says Palm.
SE will provide information on sustainability in the Laboratory 4.0. The third part, which lasts until 4 p.m., will be taken over by Dr Michael Becker from EPO Berlin-Buch with insights into recent trends in bioinformatics. All participants will receive a GLA certificate after completing the Lab 4.0 workshop. For more than 20 years, the GLA academy has offered parttime qualifications for scientists and technicians active in the life sciences. GLA is located on the Berlin-Buch campus, putting it in the direct vicinity of approx. 60 innovative biotechnology and medical technology companies and renowned research institutions like the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in the Helmholtz Association (MDC) and the Leibniz Research Institute for Molecular Pharmacology (FMP).
In March, Inify signed an agreement with a supplier of logistic services – a leading global company in valuable transports, where safety and traceability are its core business. Such a partner will enable the company to keep full track of each and every tissue sample, from pick-up at the clinic to registration in the laboratory.
“This cross between two completely different industries is just another product of our innovative mindset. Any tissue sample picked up nationally will be delivered to our laboratory within 24 hours. In short, this is a partner that supports our customer promise of short, predictable turnaround times,” says Palm.
Inify Laboratories is currently building and establishing an ultramodern laboratory that will provide cancer diagnostics within histopathology. Designed from scratch, it uses a fully digital, standardized and AIsupported workflow to optimize quality and shorten response times, initially within prostate cancer. The first laboratory, located at Campus Solna Sweden, is estimated to start offering services to both public and private healthcare providers before summer 2023.
The company originates from ContextVision, with nearly 40 years of experience within digital imaging for medical applications and became independent through a spin-off in February 2022. The company, based in Sweden, is listed on Euronext Growth Oslo under the ticker INIFY.
