Daddy, Felix Adedoyin Gbadebo Ogunledun was born in Makun Sagamu, Ogun State of Nigeria on September 03, 1938, to late Baba Likotun Ogunledun and Mama Odupero Ogunledun, both of blessed memories.
He had his elementary schooling in Sagamu, Ogun State. In the 1950s he attended Remo Secondary School (RSS) where he shone as a brilliant, diligent, hardworking and extraordinary student. In 1958 he furthered his education by proceeding to attend the Federal Emergency Science School in Lagos.
Following the completion of his studies at Federal Emergency Science School he worked for a few years at the Cabinet Office and Federal Parliament in Lagos as a clerk officer after which he went on to work as a Lab Technician at the Nigerian Brewery, Iganmu, Apapa, Lagos.
In 1960, Felix met the love of his life, Esther, who he proposed to as his future wife. They introduced each other to their families in Nigeria and started a courting relationship. In 1962 Felix boarded a BOAC craft for the first time as he travelled to the United Kingdom to further his education where he enrolled at The North London Polytechnic School, whilst he also worked in the Post Office at Mount Pleasant, London.
In 1964 he arranged for his sweetheart to join him in the United Kingdom and in 1965 he married the love of his life, Esther Modupe Ojo, at the Registry Office on Holloway, North London.
In the same year Felix and his wife, Esther Modupe Ogunledun, were blessed with their first child, a daughter they named Olupero. While continuing to work and study Felix gained admission into Sunderland University where he completed his Pharmacy course and qualified as a pharmacist. In 1969 along came their second child, Oluremi and, in 1971, their third child and first son, Ayodele, was born.
After he gained his qualification as a pharmacist, he worked in Moorfield Eye Hospital in the London Borough of Islington for many years until 1976 when he returned to Nigeria ahead of his family. Back in Nigeria he got offered a job opportunity at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State where he served for a few months before joining the pharmaceutical giant, Sterling Products Nigeria PLC in Lagos as a Quality Control Manager.
Together with his young family who had relocated back to Nigeria, Felix settled into church life at The Shepherd Hill Baptist Church in Obanikoro whist living in the Pedro axis of Shomolu, Lagos.
In 1978 Felix welcomed his fourth child, Adebayo. A few years later he received a chieftaincy
title as The Bobameto of Ikole-Ekiti from His Royal Majesty, Oba Adetunla Adeleye II, The Elekole of Ikole-Ekiti, Ondo State, Nigeria in January 1983. A couple of months later, Felix and Esther were blessed with their fifth child and last born, Abisoye.
The family enjoyed and sometimes endured several years living in Nigeria where FAGO served as the National Treasurer of The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) and also set up the pharmacy outlet FAGEM before relocating to the United Kingdom in 1989. He worked as a locum Pharmacist for few years, travelling around to work in various communities. In 1992 He established his own Pharmacy called Lancey Pharmacy in Charlton, London. Shortly afterwards Felix was joined by Esther and his two youngest sons from Nigeria.
Felix continued to build a reputable character and went from strength to strength in his career as a pharmacist. He was loved by his colleagues, friends and those he served in the public domain. He retired in 2017 after meritorious service in the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
Felix served as a member of Woolwich Central Baptist Church, following his dedication to God he was ordained as a deacon for many years, stepping down in 2018.
He was surrounded and loved by his friends and family alike. He was gentle, easy going, peaceloving and a faithful servant of God. Many of his favourite saying included “Be courageous,” “Be steady,” “Read Proverbs 4:27” just to name a few.
Daddy Felix showered so much love to his family and extended family.
Daddy Felix is survived by his beloved wife, children and nine grandchildren.
My darling husband, Daddy Felix Adedoyin Gbadebo Ogunledun, the Love of my Life. I thank The Almighty God, Creator of Heaven and Earth, who joined you with me as my husband, Father, Brother, and my darling for all these many years that we have been together.
To God be the Glory, Great things he has done for me as I look up to him now for help as Felix Adedoyin has answered God’s calling. I believe he is in a better place where there will be no more sickness, pain, no more sorrow or the ups and downs of this world.
Daddy Felix, I will miss you! I will celebrate your life in my heart till I meet you at the feet of Jesus Christ where we shall forever be.
You have been a loving father to all our children. You have displayed all the attributes of God in their lives. I pray you look down upon them with your blessings. I appreciate you for all the things you did for them.
Daddy Felix, I wish to say that all my siblings and family loved you. Our Christian brothers and sisters loved you. Thank you for being a good man to us all. Thanks for all the hard work you did while you were alive.

Modupe OgunledunDad was a father of principle and a man that liked to understand, he would say it is a matter of understanding.
Dad was a family man that cared for his family. I remembered when I was small, Dad would go shopping to the butchers, also he would take me to the laundry.
A comment from his doctor said that he knew how to articulate his speech, and how he enjoyed him as a patient to him.
He loved his wife, my mum, and he was a man that loved people. He did his work with a passion. I will really miss him because he called my name Oluwapero after his mother. When he saw me he would say O.Y.O and I knew what he meant.

Whenyou go to an art gallery, you look at paintings and wonder what the artist was trying to convey. Since Grandad’s passing, I have looked at pictures of Grandad. In some of the pictures, it conveyed family man, love, caring, passionate in what he was saying, and present.
Going down memory lane, I remember when I was younger, and we would visit Grandad at the pharmacy. Whenever he talked to my mum, he would always ask for me, which showed how he cared. Grandad will always give me advice. Whenever he talked it was something meaningful. I see that quality in my mum as well.
I love hearing how Grandad cares for Grandma; it shows how he stuck by his wedding vows, in sickness and health.
I hang on to knowing that I will see my Grandad in the new system when Jesus resurrects him.

Growing up, I always knew you as a realist who was never afraid of death – You would often say to us when admonishing us (the children) to remain on the straight and narrow road – ‘I may be here to see it and I may not be here, but you must……….’
So, as you graduate on to eternal rest in God’s bosom, I and the entire family left behind will now equip ourselves with your words, your sayings, your idioms and proverbs – You were never short of words so they will live on in my heart.
Thank you for being the shining example of a loving father, sacrificial giver, a gentle disciplinarian and a spiritual giant. Thank you for also being an exemplar of heights to attain and exceed…
You were the one who excelled brilliantly in various fields of study and endeavours.

Thank you for your genuine kindness to me; when we got married, you said to me – “Ire de ti di okan ninu awon omo Mama o, bi won ba se n ba won wi, ni won ma ba iwo na wi!” In short you wanted me to know there was no in-law and I was immediately a full-fledged member of the family. Your historical recollections and quotes were legendary – from the words of Professor Humphrey to what Dr Law said! It was always a joy to be around you – what a privilege to have gained so much wisdom and understood what it means to live a life of integrity and faithfulness to God.
The most remarkable thing though, Dad, is your love for Mum – you both have an enduring love that was real and pure; she was your numero uno and jewel of inestimable value and your children and grandchildren are so blessed to have seen that example. Omolola ‘Omolayo Ayolomo’ AdedoyinDearGrandpa, I never imagined that you wouldn’t be here. But I know that you would not want me to be upset because you lived a fulfilled life with God at the centre of it. I have so many memories of you and every single one of them is positive. There is not a single time I saw you upset or unhappy. You always brought humour and light to every conversation and anecdote with your positivity and storytelling. I will really miss you. I will miss calling up to check up on you and grandma. I will miss hearing you end the call saying, “bye for now”. I will miss hearing your extremely long-lasting prayers. I will miss visiting on Sunday after church and hearing you say, “happy Sunday”. But I know that I have been very fortunate to have experienced all these things so much that I will miss them, and I am very happy that I had over twenty years to experience them.
Thank you for always letting me know how loved I was and how proud of me you were. I am very proud of you too. I could not have asked for a better example of a life well lived. A life not just serving and knowing God, but a life as a true friend of God. Your dedication and strength allowed you to defy many odds and is the reason why I was able to spend over twenty years with you in my life. That is why, whilst I will always miss you, I can find comfort in knowing that if I follow your example, I will see you again. And I am very much looking forward to seeing you again.

Adebayo David Ogunledun Baba MetoNotonly was my grandad a father, brother, grandfather, a son, an uncle and much more, but he was a truly knowledgeable and wise man. If i ever made a mistake, he was quick to correct me and let me know where I went wrong. Although sometimes he would tell us some of his wise words, and I was too young to understand, as I grew older and found myself in certain situations, I would often think about what he would think and his input. Because not only did he want to see my shine, but he wanted to see me prosper and grow as an individual. He is forever in my heart and will not be forgotten. Love you Grandad.
Neriah Ogunledun My father, Baba, Papa, Daddy, Popsie, Chief, aka Mr Felix Adedoyin Gbadebo Ogunledun. It’s difficult for me to explain & express just how much you meant to me & my family and I don’t think I will be able to put it into words even if I wanted to. I do very much know that I miss you more than anything and I will remember you for the rest of my life. You are the best father someone could ask for: a man of God, loving, hardworking, caring, compassionate, kind, gentle, accepting, appreciative, clever, grateful, extraordinary, humble, generous, logical, knowledgeable, involving in difficult times, being verbally expressive and the list can go on…many more words I can find to describe you sir. You had sayings I will always remember like, “we will cross the bridge when we get there”, “just be patient” and your books are your girlfriends”. Baba mi I have heard a saying previously that goes, “a Godly Father Teaches. Your child’s education is not the responsibility of the school or the church”. ... and that is my personal & unique experience with you, baba. You taught me so much in life and to life. are definitely a rare gem and I am thankful to the Almighty Lord God that I had you as my biological father. I love you sir.
Those special occasions like Birthdays, Easter, Christmas, New Year and other celebrations will never be the same again. I will surely miss you but your good deeds on earth will forever remain in my heart.

Onbehalf of our great OJO’BADAN FAMILY, I write to express our sadness at the departure of a STAR from our midst, and in the same vein, express our joy for the fulfilment of a Destiny.
The passing to glory of Chief Felix Adedoyin Gbadebo Ogunledun presents to us a state of ambivalence, because on the one hand, it represents a loss, but on the other hand a thing of joy because we have the assurance that he has given a good account of his stewardship to his maker. In the ultimate, we shall all see one another at the bosom of our Lord in eternity.
Felix and I became acquainted with each other for the first time in November 1964. Having proposed to a young lady Miss Modupe Ojo and sought the parent’s approval to have her hand in marriage, he was bluntly told that their agreement to his proposal was tentative, and the final approval could only be given by the lady’s Daddy in London. This led him to visit me in Camden Town upon his arrival in London, UK. From the date we met, a chord was struck between both of us in a relationship that would last until the day of his passing to glory on January 24, 2023. Here was a man who exuded the virtues of Faith, Hope and Love.
First, it was his steadfast faith in God that kept him going, when he was assailed by the forces of evil, both from his own people who were opposed to the stardom in him, and colleagues at his workplace who despised his integrity, after his return to Nigeria. Secondly, he cherished his knowledge of the hereafter, and so his hope in God could never be cut off. Finally, he modelled his life on God’s attribute of love, such that his genuine love for God and
love for others became his hallmark.
It is this attribute of love that endeared him to everyone who came in contact with him. He proved to all who had relationships with him the true power of love as narrated in the scriptures (Songs of Solomon 8 vs 6-7), paraphrased: -
Love is as strong as death.
It is as jealous as the grave. It burns like blazing fire. Many waters cannot quench love. It can never be washed away by rivers. It cannot be bought for any price. It is a gift from God which must be shared. And what more shall I say?
However, suffice it to say that in a period of almost 60 years of my interaction with Felix, I have personally learnt a lot of lessons from his life built on humility, steadfastness of purpose, trustworthiness, absolute dedication to all, loving kindness etc. He would never offend, and he was never offended. Oh! we lost a gem in our family. The extent of his sharing the gift of love can be explained with this analogy. As a citizen of two families, coming from the Ogunledun family; he proved to us that one love binds us together by adopting the OJO’BADAN family upon his wedlock to one of them. I always refer to him as the green leaf that got himself glued to the black soap, thus becoming part and parcel of the black soap. (Ogunledun a.k.a. Ojo).
We believe that he had fought the good fight of faith, he had finished the race, he had kept the faith. Surely a crown of righteousness is laid up for him, which the Lord the righteous judge will give him on that Resurrection Day.
On behalf of all members of the OJO’ BADAN Family, I commiserate with all members of OGUNLEDUN Family of Sagamu, Nigeria for the loss of a star. Members of the families of OGUNLEDUN and OJO’BADAN, both at home in Nigeria, and overseas are together rejoicing in the celebration of the unique life of a man who has seen Jesus before the advent of death.
He is now standing with the Saints, singing Hallelujah Chorus before the Throne of Grace. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace- Amen.
Joshua Olagoke Ojo For OJO’BADAN FAMILYIthank God Almighty for the life of Chief Ogunledun, he was a devoted man full of God’s attributes, he was kind loving and accommodating, open minded and hardworking, he shows his loving and kind attitude to everyone around him, he was loved by all the extended family for his good deeds.
He was a pharmacist and loved by all his customers because he will attend to them carefully and diligently. I am certain he would be resting in the bosom of God Almighty; I your dear sister in-law will miss you greatly, but I put my solace in the Lord.
Rest in perfect peace dear Chief till we meet to part no more.
Mrs Olufunmilayo OdeindeLifeis full of hope and promises, love and peace seemed to bear roots of their own, growing and bearing fruits out like everything that is born into existence on earth, life was snuffed out.
With mixed feelings Morakinyo family regrettably, but gratefully acknowledged the glorious home call of our friend, unarguably our faithful close relationship. The pain of loss of a faithful loved one can only be described as being excruciating.
We met at Moorfield Eye Hospital London E.C.1 in the early 60s for our internship for registration to the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. Since then, we have been very intimately related, sharing our griefs and pains together like David and Jonathan in the Holy Bible. We also worked together as senior pharmacists at University College Hospital, Ibadan and jointly resigned for greener pasture in other pharmaceutical companies. Like birds of similar feathers, we left UCH on the same day to join foreign pharmaceutical companies in the country.
Pero...Life is pleasant and death is peaceful. It is the transition that tends to be troublesome. Rest in peace till we meet again sir.

Ibidunni Akinsanya nee OdeindeChief later returned to Great Britain to practice, while I stayed behind to practice. What a divine privilege for all of us, to have him back to London. The benefits are multifarious. He used to host me for all my holiday and locum practice in UK. He took care of my children staying and holidaying in London. He hospitalised any member of Morakinyo family without any signs or regret but with unfailing love and with open heart.
It is our sincere prayer that our Lord will continue to uphold his devoted, loving wife and entire members of his family.
May his gentle soul continue to march on.
Ayo, as I fondly called him, was an icon, and a gentleman to the core. He was a man of many parts. In world affairs and politics,
he was highly knowledgeable. Sometimes, he would call my attention to things happening in Nigeria which I was not aware of even though I live in the country.
He was a committed Christian. He was always lifting me up spiritually by regularly sending me Words and teachings from the Bible.
He was a devoted family man, a faithful and caring husband, a loving father, and grandfather to his children and grandchildren, a loving and accommodating father-in-law to my daughter Lola.
We will all miss him. I will surely miss all his text messages.

His unending smiles, the positive greetings that kept flashing in my mind would be missed. Pa Ogunledun you have left a void in our heart and you would always be missed

Venerable Assistant Superior Evangelist Prophet S.O. SunmonuWejust lost a gem! Indeed, we have lost an icon and an apostle of love. Uncle Felix, as we fondly referred to him, was a loving soul, generous, pleasant, yet firm and a joy to be with. We totally enjoyed his presence in our family. He was a lovely Uncle, and though a cousin, was also a good and bosom friend, well loved, cherished and trusted ally of our dad, Late Chief Olu Oyesanya. We watched as they shared an exemplary loving egbon/aburo relationship, confidant to each other, which in turn extended to us, the children. We will all miss you greatly.

Daddy Ogunledun lived an exemplary life to say the least. He was kind-hearted, generous, loving, accommodating, intelligent and God fearing.
He was my father’s bosom childhood friend, so on many occasions I was privileged to spend my school holidays at their home. Growing up, I can recall Daddy Ogunledun as a strict disciplinarian. He made sure we all knew our times table at an early. Yes, we were on holiday from school, but when he came back from work, he would make you recite your times table, I believe he just wanted us to excel in our academics.
Back in the seventies, Daddy Ogunledun was the life of the party, he was an excellent dancer, I would always look forward to him on the dance floor and my young self-watching him in amazement.
Papa Ogunledun and my dad were inseparable from when they were kids and the relation continued until they both went to be with the Lord.
Thank for all your words of wisdom and your unrelenting prayers towards my family and I.

It is very unpleasant for me to write a tribute to a veritable personality of Chief FAGO. A very reliable personable family friend whose demise is an irreparable colossal loss to us Fujamade.
Chief FAGO was a bosom childhood friend of my late husband when they attended Remo Secondary School in the fifties, our families are so closely knit, when we were both in the UK and back in Nigeria, going on memory lane with reminiscence and reflection of our families’ togetherness particularly on children’s education and positive footsteps to ensure discipline, high moral and higher aspiration for them.
In your academic life you successfully qualified as a renounced pharmacist in the UK, Uncle FAGO was an embodiment of significant value.
A man of integrity, diligent to duty, loving, cheerful disposition, fear and dedication to humanity, jovial, peace loving, a kingdom loving personality.
You were blessed with your darling, a virtuous wife, Mrs Esther Modupe Ogunledun (Mama Pero) who is very dedicated, accommodating, an epitome of love, God-Fearing, very kind.
You are equally blessed with responsible, well educated, disciplined and respectful children and grandchildren. Praise God.
It will not be easy for me to produce a comprehensive dossier of your impactful life. Your dedication and generosity to your family and extended family, friends and humanity in general is commendable. Your work for God is enduring. Your family support for my family even at your old age is unequalled. My family will forever be grateful to you and your darling wife for all your care and love for Sola’s family and my family. By Elder Mrs C.B. Fujamade (Mama Kemi)Daddy Ogunledun was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and mentor. Above all things, Baba Ogunledun was a deeply devout Christian. He was steady, kind and yet was firm and tough if necessary. I will never forget how kind Baba and Mama Ogunledun were to me during my years in the United Kingdom. They were the epitome of selfless love. Baba’s wonderful home was the first place my twin brother and I stayed when we came to the UK to get our medical licensing. It was like being home with my own mum and dad. The whole Ogunledun family made so many adjustments and sacrifices to make us feel comfortable and we will forever be grateful.
Baba Ogunledun was a man of firm Christian convictions and towering integrity, and he lived a life of simplicity. I remembered what happened when I mailed a gift to him after I had moved away, and the name of the sender was not clearly visible. Even though Baba’s name was on the box, he did not know who sent it, and thus was not really sure it belonged to him. He never used the item for several months until I mentioned it sometime later. The box was in the corner waiting, until the rightful owner could come and claim it. I was staggered by such integrity even in the privacy of his home!
Baba’s example when dealing with challenging situations was worthy of emulation. He was a
picture of grace, prayerful steadfastness and faith, enduring difficult times with a sense of humor, quiet strength and fortitude. Baba Ogunledun lived a life of prayer, and selfless giving. As a father, he loved to laugh, tell stories and spend time with his family. As a Christian, his daily life demonstrated all the fruits of the spirit consistently, showing love, patience, peace, kindness, joy, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Baba’s impact on me was so profound that till today, in one way or the other, I seek to emulate him in my dealings with others.

Irecall first meeting Felix Ogunledun a.k.a Papa Pero, over 50 years ago when he came to seek the hands of my dear sister in Marriage. I recall how charismatic, kind and open he was to every single member of the family.
Over the decades he consistently demonstrated kindness, humility and the admirable characteristic of being a very good listener and mediator whenever needed.
My entire family knew him to be a Godfearing man who loved his wife and children unconditionally. Very much extending that love to members of the extended family in ways that will forever be cherished.
He will be fondly remembered for his forthrightness, peaceful disposition, loving character and funny jokes. He will be greatly missed!
