SUNDAYS AT JESUS HOUSE | INTRODUCTION

2

Jesus House is a vibrant church where connections are made and lives are transformed through the Word of God that is preached, through prayers to God and through the support of the church family.

SUNDAYS AT JESUS HOUSE | SERVICE TIMES

Service Times Our main worship services on Sundays are at the following times: 1st Service: 9.00am – 11:00am 2nd Service: 11.30am – 1:30pm Our services begin with amazing music from our talented worship team (aka ‘Tribe of Judah’) and we invite you to actively free up yourself in God’s house or online and join in worshipping God. There will be ample opportunities to pray to God for different things including Prayers for the nation (The UK), prayers for other nations (especially in times of need), prayers for the persecuted church and prayers for the individual needs of the congregation. Every first Sunday of each month is our Thanksgiving service. The service on this Sunday is slightly different to the others because it is even more celebratory as we particularly thank God for various things that have happened in our lives – We get to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, new births and weddings.

SUNDAYS AT JESUS HOUSE | CHILDREN'S CHURCH

Children’s Church The Children’s church is called ‘Kidz First’. It runs every Sunday at the same times as the main services. Kidz First is divided into separate classes depending on the age of the child. There are five sub groups within Kidz First: Cherubs 2-4, Sunbeams 5-6, Kingdom Kids 7-8, Children of Destiny 9-10, Joshua Generation 11-12. Children in Cherubs and Sunbeams receive bible-based learning through story-telling, songs, rhymes, games, colouring and fun activities. Bible stories are taught in ways that engage and captivate the children’s imagination. Kingdom Kidz, Children of Destiny and Joshua Generation sessions are more interactive and relational in style, the children are encouraged to share their views and thoughts on real-life situations and are taught how to apply the Word to their lives. Babies (and their parents) We have a ‘Parent and Babies’ room which is most suitable for families with children under the age of 2. It is equipped with a screen and speakers to keep us connected to the main service. We also have a separate nursing room equipped with audio speakers so that breast-feeding mums can have privacy but remain connected to the services.

The Youth services run differently to the adult services. The Youth services are more interactional involving things such as particular themes, discussion panels, debates, role plays and many other creative forms of expression. The Youth are a major part of the wider church community and the have several wonderful annual events such as talent shows, movies nights, a Retreat. SUNDAYS AT JESUS HOUSE | YOUTH / THE WORD

7 News 7News is a recorded video newscast bulletin which will keep you informed about several things happening in and around the life of the church. It may include upcoming events and activities, it may be reporting on past event or activities and sometimes simply features engaging and encouraging feeds.

The Word The Word The exhortation is a vital component of every service. It may be in the form of an engaging sermon from an in-house pastor or guest minister. The sermon teaches us about the Word of God and how we can be better equipped in life. This segment of the service may however feature another method of communicating the gospel message e.g. A creative arts drama or a chat-show etc.

SUNDAYS AT JESUS HOUSE | OFFERINGS / AFTER SERVICE

Offerings of Donations & Tithes Offerings of donations & tithes At Jesus House we also worship God by giving back to Him through the church. Our offerings are a freewill donation which we have opportunities to bring every time we gather. Tithes are covenant giving where a person submits their finances to be under the authority of God and signifies this by committing to give 10% of all their income. There is a moment in each service at Jesus House where these donations are collected. There are offering envelopes in the chair pockets in church and if you miss the slot during the service to give, you can always walk up to any of the pastors or ushers to give at any time during or after the services.

After Each Service At the end of each service you can walk up any of the Pastors and ministers whom you will usually find at the front of the church (either standing in front of the altar or sitting on the front row) to talk to or request for prayers from any of the leaders. They are here to serve you and look forward to meeting you.
