‘Each woman is important in this story. We need each other. The more there are of us, the brighter it gets.’

The Why The What The Who The Why

The Who

In a big church it can be difficult to bypass the meat pie queue and make genuine, fruitful relationships with other women our age. Healthy, deep, and reciprocal relationships are an essential part of healthy lives.

We want this to be an inclusive, authentic and empowering community within Jesus House. It’s not just about events. It’s a community where we are not only accepted as we are, but are equally challenged to grow in all areas of our lives.

This community is for any woman in Church in their 1830s. Whether you’re new to Jesus House and looking to meet other women, serving in a team already at church, or just visit once in a while, this is for you.

Connecting We’re all about building relationships so there are a number of ways we’ve designed for us to meet and connect with each other. Sundays Every 1st and 3rd Sunday come and say hello (and pick up a treat) at the connection stand at the Front of House. With such foot traffic and much going on after service, we thought it would be heart-warming to see a friendly face and have a Sunday session of woman talk, edification and encouragement.

The Brunches We’ll be hosting two brunches this year at The Pullman Hotel in Kings Cross. At these events we try to elaborate on real-life issues with a combination of biblical and practical advice on the challenges we face as women trying to navigate life in the 21st century.

Small Group Sessions From Spring, we’ll be launching monthly small groups. These smaller sessions are an opportunity to connect deeper with other women on topics that matter most to us. Education. Career. Relationships. God. It’s a time to discuss, pray and focus on the things that matter most to us now.

Esther’s Monthly Thursday Night Meetings These monthly Thursday night meetings (that take place at Jesus House on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm) are a great chance for us to connect with the women of all generations in church and a time to pray and worship together.

‘Who do I need in my life?’

Spring #EsthersBrunch Our first brunch of 2016 will take place on Saturday 19th March. We will be exploring exactly who we need in our lives. In today’s digitally connected world, it can be a challenge to understand who we need to build friendships and relationships with. To help us delve into this area, we’ll be joined by our very own young adult’s Pastor in Pastor Baj who is always full of #realtalk and life wisdom. (Details overleaf).
