When it comes to getting the most from a lawn mower or other power equipment, using the wrong blend of fuel or skipping off-season maintenance just won’t cut it. The fuel blends and ethanol percentages that may be right for cars—an ethanol concentration greater than 10 percent—are not recommended for power equipment or marine engines. Also, any fuel blend stored in an unused engine may degrade over time and harm small engines. That’s why, experts say, it’s a good idea for consumers to take lawn mowers and other power products to an authorized dealer at the end of each season. “This is a good way to allow a trained professional to properly dispose of unused fuel and ensure the product is ready for next season,” said Mike Rudolph, senior manager, Honda Engines. Dust Bowl?

Dust comes from several sources and is difficult to eliminate completely. Increased dust could be a sign that it is time to change a dirty furnace or air conditioner filter or vacuum cleaner bag. Activities that produce dust (such as sanding) can also be a source of an increase. Dust can also be introduced into your home through air leaks in ducts, or air infiltration through leaky doors and windows. To help reduce the amount of dust in your home, take the following steps: Change or clean your furnace and air conditioner filters once a month or according to the filter

manufacturer’s instructions. Temporarily seal the filter in place with metal-back duct tape. Write the date on the tape with a marker so your know when it was last changed. Your clothes dryer should be vented directly to the outside. Inspect the vent duct. Make sure it is attached securely to the dryer. Check that it is clear of obstructions (e.g. lint). Check for holes that leak air. If vent duct is damaged replace it with a metal duct. The vent duct should be cleaned at least once a year. Consider leaving your shoes at the door so you don’t track outside debris-often the largest source of dust -into your house. Sealing air leaks can help to reduce air infiltration that could be a source of dust. Sealing duct air leaks, especially the return duct, can help prevent dust from being circulated throughout your house. (Energystar.gov)

Marriage Rocks Jesus told a parable in Matthew 7:24-27, about building our marriage on a solid foundation. Many marriages are “On the Rocks” today because they have built on “the sand” of a shaky foundation. Unconditional love, trust, good communication, quality time together, commitment, and a relationship with God will stabilize our marriage and family in stormy times. When Israel got away from their firm foundation, they remembered that “God was their rock” (Ps 78:35) and returned to build their lives on him. Let’s look at five principles of building our marriage on the rock!

Priority In Genesis 2:24a, the bible says, that for the reason of marriage, a man will “leave” his father and mother. “Leaving” means that we have left all other relationships preeminence to prioritize our spouse; relationship as foremost in our lives second only to our relationship with God. Some wrongly prioritize the kids above their spouse or work. Our priority must be for each other if our marriage is going to “rock!”

Possession Genesis 2:24 states that the result of our prioritizing and passionately pursuing our spouse, will be that we become “one flesh” with them. This not only speaks of sexual unions but relational intimacy.

Purity
