As much as I enjoy long summer days and an evening spent watching extra-inning baseball, it's hard not to get excited about the fall season, especially in Central NY. Leaves are turning, NY apples are ripe and it's the ideal time to carve out time to get out and spend time with family or friends enjoying some fall fun. If you're new to the area, or even if you've been at the same address for a long time, host a neighbor or two at a backyard bonfire or outdoor movie night. It's a simple way to connect and build community. Go for bike rides or on a leaf-peeping drive. Take in a football game or better yet, get the gang together for a friendly game of touch football. Visit a corn maze, light the scented candles, scarf some pumpkin pie, put out the fall decorations, run through the leaves before you rake them. Sure we know there are a whole lot of chores we homeowners have to tackle in the fall. Don't worry - they'll be there waiting for you. Remember not so long ago when all the fun things were canceled and we aren't able to gather? Remember? Hopefully, that's enough motivation to give yourself permission to turn the page and enjoy another new season.

After decades of neglect and disinvestment, the field fell into disrepair. In 2015, New York State Assembly Speaker Carl E.
