CHATTOOGA BELLE FARM

The Plateau region of Western North Carolina is ideally located for visitors to enjoy an assortment of day trip destinations, all within an hour or two by car. Travel into South Carolina for just over an hour to reach Chattooga Belle Farm in Long Creek. This unique gem is located in the Upstate region of South Carolina. Belle's Bistro

Chattooga Belle Farm is a popular wedding venue with the lush, rolling hills of the Southern Appalachian Mountains serving as a picture-perfect backdrop to say “I do.” The sprawling property includes a barn that can be reserved as event space for wedding receptions and other special occasions.

It’s worth the drive from anywhere, just to view the 270-degree panorama, the glorious stars at night, or the manicured lawn that beautifully anchors row after row of fruit vines and trees. You can rock on the porch and seemingly reach out and touch the mountain range to your front. But I must warn you. The hardest part about going there is leaving. You won’t want to.

Take in the stunning panoramic views, which showcase a variety of fruit growing. The area is known for apples, peaches, and grapes, including the Muscadine variety.

Vineyards

Located 50 + minutes from the plateau, it is the ultimate day trip for couples or families. Reach this foothill escape and observe a different perspective of the Blue Ridge Mountain range.

Chattooga Belle Farm also has onsite overnight accommodations. Visitors can reserve the quaint tiny home known as The Chicken Coop, with an en-suite bathroom. The one-bedroom space is located near Horseshoe Lake by the cattle and llama pastures. In addition, the farm has three RV sites to choose from, along with a rustic campsite at Horseshoe Lake or Creekside.

Much of the fruit is distilled, bottled and sold as signature spirits. The award-winning blends include eight types of wine and a dozen whiskey types. Visitors can tour the Chattooga Belle Farm Distillery daily; adults over 21can taste samples. The remaining fruit on the farm is sold either canned or by the bag in the Farm Store; or available for U-Pick each season.
