A MAESTRE, Officer-In-Charge, REU 8. Its project cost which was sourced out from the initiative of RD MARBIL and from the PNP TR amounted to Php 4, 864,563.28.

“These structures were built not only as a part of camp enhancement but more importantly to promote safety and protection among personnel going in and out of the camp. It will also reduce camp traffic and easy management,” RD MARBIL stated.

Camp Sec Ruperto Kangleon, Palo, Leyte- The Police Regional Office 8 under the leadership of PBGEN ROMMEL FRANCISCO D MARBIL, Regional Director, led the Ribbon Cutting and Blessing Ceremony of two (2) newly-built infrastructures inside the camp premise on December 15, 2022.

These projects were the Construction of the Drainage Canal and Covered Pathwalk and the Concreting of the Motorcycle Parking constructed and completed through the Office of the Regional

COL EMJAY CHICO of Hands-Off Our Children and by the Chairman of PITAD KULTURA Mr. MARK BALAIS, conducted Peace and Quiet Artshow at Robinsons North, Abucay, Tacloban City. 2022 on December 26 - 30, 2022.

Coinciding the 54th CPP-NPA-NDF Anniversary, a group of artists from PITAD WARAYNON, ISTILO POETRY, TAMAFEST, SILHAG KULTURA, KOLOR BANWA, SINING BISWAL HAN CARIGARA (SIBICA), SINIRANGAN ARTIST GUILD, EASTERN VISAYAS ARTISTS LEAGUE (ESVAL), ISLA, MUSTRA ARTE

BISWAL, SINAGKASUGBONG, WARAY TUPONG ART MOVEMENT, WARAY ARTE, MAHARLIKA ARTISTS AND WRITERS FEDERATION, attended by more than 30 visual artists from different art groups to showcase their paintings, sculptures, and installation arts.

The main objective of the event is to encourage Local Artists to show their talent to a bigger audience and to become a partner of the government to fight against insurgency propaganda of the leftist group. This is in support on the call to stop the CPP-NPA-NDF youth recruitment.

Rd Marbil Awards Deserving Cops

Camp Sec Ruperto Kangleon, Palo, Leyte- PBGEN ROMMEL FRANCISCO D MARBIL, Regional Director, Police Regional Office 8 awarded deserving PNP personnel of Alang-alang Municipal Police Station and Ormoc City Police Office during the Flag Raising Ceremony of the Alang-alang Local Government Unit (LGU) on December 5, 2022 and of the Ormoc City Government on December 12, 2022..

Said awarding is RD MARBIL's way of recognizing PNP personnel who delivered and displayed meritorious performance to the best of their ability which contributed to the overall accomplishment of PRO 8. Said activity is his Malasakit program entitled, "Medalya mo, Gawad Ko"- Medalya para sa Natatanging Kapulisan sa Rehiyon Otso.

Three (3) personnel of Alang-alang MPS were awarded, to name: PCPT JOSHUA BIEN M CHIQUILLO, Acting Chief of Police, PSMS Jon Alvin V Claro and PCpl Richard P Blones for their successful arrest of Charlie Cayril, Top 1 Most Wanted Person of the Municipality of Alang-alang for the crime of Frustrated Murder on October 15, 2022 at Brgy. Mudburon, Alangalang, Leyte. Likewise, three personnel of Ormoc CPO were awarded with Medalya ng Kagalingan, namely: PLT ARWIN PEREZ, PCpl Julius Cormanes and Pat Junrey Gabule for their successful Buy-bust operation which resulted to the neutralization of two (2) High Value Individuals, Paulo Ceasar Pabingwit and Jocyl Cabahug and the recovery of 47 pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets
