Doors will open at 11:45 a.m. and lunch will be provided (the actual event begins at noon). This session is open to all PFF Summit registered patient and caregiver attendees, but space is limited. Registration for this special event is required and is based on a first-come, first-served basis. During this session, New York Yankees legend and Latin Grammy nominee Bernie Williams will share his personal connection to interstitial lung disease (ILD) and help bring to life the role music can play in supporting people impacted by the disease. In addition, respiratory therapist Jamie Akers, BASHSA, RRT-ACCS, will demonstrate how to increase strength and endurance through interactive pulmonary rehabilitation exercises. This event is produced in collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Williams, who has teamed up with Boehringer Ingelheim on Tune In To Lung Health, knows the impact of music firsthand. His father, who passed away from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in 2001, ignited his passion for music and it was one of the lifelong bonds they shared. After his dad’s passing, Williams often used music to remain connected to him. PH-ILD: Making the case for early detection Location: Amarante 2 & 3

This is a closed session for healthcare providers only. Join United Therapeutics on Friday, November 10 from 7:00 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. for a discussion about early detection of PH-ILD. Doors will open at 6:30 a.m. for breakfast. All healthcare providers attending the PFF Summit 2023 are invited to register for this session. Registration is free, and breakfast and light refreshments will be provided to attendees. Dr. Mary Beth Scholand from the University of Utah will present PH-ILD disease state education and a case study on the impact and early indicators of PH-ILD. Dr. Scholand’s presentation will be followed by a Q&A from the audience. Presentation and discussion topics include: • Review the definition of PH-ILD and its impact on patient outcomes • Discuss the need to improve early detection of PH in patients with ILD • Review potential clinical indicators of PH-ILD beyond Echo and physical exam • Discuss the need for hemodynamic data obtained via RHC to formally diagnose PH This is an industry-sponsored symposium.
