Children Maxisters - Watch and Learn Ray Helmuth • Isaiah 11:6

PUMC welcomes the staff and faculty of The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard Van Buren Elementary School to worship will lie down with the goat, the calf and the this weekend to celebrate their service lion and the yearling together; and a little to the children of Plainfield and to honor child will lead them. Children’s Sabbath, a day set aside on the Isaiah 11:6 (NSRV) church calendar to lift up the needs of children in the community and around the world. PUMC’s partnership with Van Buren Elementary School is just one way PUMC serves the children of Plainfield. In supporting and encouraging teachers and staff at Van Buren, we support and encourage the local children and families they serve. As PUMC serves as an encouraging partner with the Just Be Kind Kids Club, we empower children to change and bless their world. As PUMC serves community meals, helps local families with financial aid, and hosts early childhood and before & after school programs, we show the children of Plainfield the BIG Love of God. On Sunday morning worshipers will learn more about the students, staff, teachers and reach of Van Buren Elementary School as Principal Ray Helmuth brings the message. We hope worship and fellowship are a blessing to all, especially students and their families.

On Sunday, September 17, PUMC will celebrate the many ministry servants that lead and staff the ongoing, internal ministries of PUMC. Because of the faithful, committed, generous service of many, many individuals, PUMC is able to offer exceptionally high quality worship every Sunday; faith formation experiences for all ages such as K-5 Bible Explorers, youth ministries, and adult learning classes and small groups; welcoming ministries such as greeters, ushers, and Sunday morning coffee; quality communication and administrative support; and so much more. In worship on September 17, congregation members will share about their experiences in service here at PUMC, and we’ll give God thanks and praise for all God is doing through all of the servants here at PUMC. Ministries will have displays set-up in the lobbies to tell their stories and invite participation. And we will celebrate our life of faith shared and lived out together here at PUMC. Be a part of this celebration on September 17. Join in giving thanks to God for this congregation and all its ministries. And be inspired to serve in one of the many ministries here at PUMC. Together we are more - in service to God, each other, and the world!
