OUR STRENGTHS Here at Pure Line, we believe that our core strengths align with our vision of "Tomorrow's Harvest in Today's Seeds" and lie in the following four areas:

4

Seed Production

Breeding Innovation

Seed Health

Strong Relationships

Our team utilizes a network of professional seed growers in the Pacific Northwest’s Columbia River Basin, our country’s premier seed growing region, to produce high quality seed. Attentive care throughout the season means we’re able to offer open varieties and our own proprietary material at a higher standard. Through custom production we offer this same standard to companies across the world.

Induce variation and make selection- this is the principle of plant breeding, on which Pure Line Seed's breeding program stands today. We use traditional, non-GMO practices to induce variation followed by intensive selection processes in the field for six years. Unlike many other breeding programs, we include and rely on our customers, growers, and public breeders in our final selection process. We run trials of our best lines across the globe. Together, we choose the best of those selections to become new varieties. This collaboration constantly folds back into the breeding process for continuous improvement.

Our primary focus is to provide a healthy environment for our seed crop so that it provides us with healthy seed. This includes using the best seed to start with and working closely with our growers to monitor for diseases and use the best tools available, like IPM, to abate biotic and abiotic stresses. All of our fields are inspected and certified as disease free by the USDA. The research and production teams work together every year to maintain clean seed lots, free of off-types. Our commitment to healthy food, healthy people, and healthy farms has encouraged us to produce WSDA certified organic seed of our best performing fresh market varieties.

Pure Line Seeds has maintained a foundation of strong business relationships built on trust, reliability, quality products, and complete flexibility. Whether it’s providing interpersonal connections or presenting a better price on competitive varieties, we strive to go the extra mile in meeting the needs of our customers.

Annihilator

Dominator

Accelerate

Ferrari

Annihilator produces tender, 6 inch pods that are set high on the plant for ease of picking and visibility. This bean has a good disease package and performs well in below average soils such as soils low in nitrogen levels.

Dominator is an attractive main - early season variety. Pods are dark in color, 0.5 inch in diameter and 6 inches long. A great bean for fresh or a processing market.

Accelerate is a Pure Line Seeds introduction in cooperation with the University of Wisconsin. Accelerate is a large sieve bean selected for its yield and disease package. Accelerate is known for its large root mass which helps with production. Taking approximately 5354 days to mature, it is an excellent choice for early season as well as full season produce. Does very well in cool climates.

Ferrari was developed by Bakker Brothers for the three sieve market. Ferrari is a glossy dark green podded variety. The plant habitat is a smaller bush with pods being set high in the bush. Since its introduction, Ferrari has become a mainstay variety for many processing and fresh market growers.

9

bean

F55 F55 has been released by Pure Line Seeds in 2013. It is a whole bean for the processing market. This bean has done exceptionally well in a number of trials and semi-commercial trials across the country.

10

Sassy Sassy was developed for small sieve size, whole bean market by Pure Line Seeds. This outstanding whole bean competes for the leading spot every year with its high quality, early vigor, outstanding yields and great recovery.

Antigua sets pods up to 5.5 inches in length with a majority of the pods at 4 sieve size. Antigua has a very good disease package with resistance to BCMV, Anthracnose and Halo Blight. Antigua is a blanching type variety. This variety fits both the processing and fresh market segments.

The mildly sweet flavor is a result of its cross between a broccoli and cauliflower. Jacaranda is an early maturing variety that produces large round heads with uniform maturity and a long shelf life.

PLS 9631 (Hybrid) PLS 9631 has proved to be a reliable hybrid in extreme conditions and pressures making it slow to bolt. It produces neatly structured shoots and attractive bluegreen heads. PLS 9631 has shown good tolerance to hallow steam in wet conditions.

Sequoia F1 (Hybrid) This variety is an extra early season variety. Sequoia has strong emergence that produces a plant with vigorous growth. The heads are high and dome shaped with dark green color reaching size in excess of 30cm. The weight of the head can range from 750g to 1kg. Sequoia F1 has excellent holding capacity and has shown to hold after harvest up to 7 days. This variety is an excellent producer of high quality heads. 15

carrot

CARROT

Baladis F1 (Hybrid) Baladis was developed as an early hybrid Nantes type. These roots have an exceptional flavor as well as a consistent orange color, both internally and externally. Baladis is 5-7” in length with a smooth cylindrical exterior. This carrot also boasts high yields and uniformity that makes it an ideal choice for both fresh markets and processing.

Barracuda F1 (Hybrid) This F1 hybrid is an early Nantes type carrot. The vigorous plant produces a long, smooth, slender and cylindrical carrot with a diameter of 4-4.5cm. With round shoulders, the carrot slightly tapers and the leaf attachments are not sunken. Barracuda F1 is known for its excellent internal color. It will not develop green shoulders or a green core at normal to difficult growing conditions. It is not sensitive to conditions that increase longitudinal cracking of the roots. The leaf attachment is medium - small and strong. The leaves grow upright and are not too dense, this helps airflow and limited susceptibility to fungal attack. Barracuda F1 will produce a high yield and is very suitable for processing and fresh market.

Topps is a Pure Line Seeds introduction, developed as a second early with excellent sieve size and superb quality. This pea has proven itself as one of the finest in markets across the world.

Pure Line Seeds is ecstatic to introduce PLS 566. Recent trials of PLS 566 have shown this pea’s capability to return tremendous yields. These long light green pods really stand out against the strong, dark blue-green afila vine. With two pods per node and 10-12 berries per pod. You’ll be very pleased with this sweet pea!

Named after the sabre sword for it's uncanny resemblence, Sabre’s introduction has been a favorite of many fresh market growers world-wide.

Don't be fooled by this smaller berried pea- yields will astound you! This variety has consistently been a top yielding variety across the country since its release. The ever increasing importance of 167's strong field tolerance to downy mildew keeps this variety in high demand. Harvest early for an even smaller berry.

Legacy is a Pure Line Seeds introduction, developed as a Bolero replacement. Legacy is one day earlier than Bolero with an added resistance to Powdery Mildew. This productive variety is flipping many Bolero programs.

The long pointed pods of PLS 560 fill to the tip with 10-12 dark green berries of excellent flavor. These nice, light green pods really stand out against the dark blue-green foliage. A strong-stemmed variety - it holds upright throughout the season, making harvest quick and very rewarding.

Bolero is an industry standard with a large berry size and is still being used across the world for both industry and fresh market growers.
