Potential puzzle game hit: Shards of Memories
Astrograde Lab is a gaming company (an independent one). They have a new game that they have been working on, and they recently released a trailer to build hype and anticipation for that game. After watching this trailer, you would be forgiven for thinking that it was a trailer for an upcoming blockbuster movie. If you play puzzle games often, you might have found out that they are best played on touch devices. Shards of Memories has a storyline that is quite captivating, to say the least, and this is something that you will become aware of the very moment you begin playing it. The very first thing you see in the game is an image that is bound to grab your attention. It is a rather haunting sight that makes you realize that something big just went down; you would have to proceed to find out what that is. The background tracks and music fits very well into the overall theme of the game. Another plus for this game is the fact that it is not too complex to learn, unlike some other puzzle games out there. You can get the hang of it without out too much difficulty.
Here is a word about the game from its creators, “Shards of Memories is a puzzle game, based on a short story about a day in a life of an emotionally distraught man. The story is told through the recollections and thoughts of the main character, which are represented by shattered framed photographs. Each level uses a symbolic relationship between the storyline, the photograph and the shape of the frame to show a new portion of the story.�
