Meet the Cast and Crew Elizabeth Anderson 2025 (Sound) Elizabeth is a junior and she has been in sound crew since freshman year. She is very excited to help with the production of The Crucible this year! She enjoys being with her friends and is looking forward to the day when PVI actually owns mics instead of having to rent them :) Sam Angel^ 2024 (Assistant Stage Manager, Set Construction) Sam Angel is a senior at PVI. He is SUPER excited to be a part of the play!! <<33 ;P :D Maryn Arseculeratne 2027 (Stage Crew, Set Construction) Maryn is a freshman at PVI, and so far, she loves the school. She does many clubs and enjoys becoming a grandma at the Yarnville Club. She swims four times a day, seven days a week, according to the traditional Gregorian calendar. She loves to eat cheese. She has enjoyed working on the play and hopes to do it next year. Nina Baker 2026 (Susanna Walcott, Rebecca Nurse U/S, Hair and Makeup, Set Construction) Nina Baker is a sophomore at PVI. This is her second show here, the first being last year’s spring musical (Nice Work If You Can Get It). In it, she ate as a “Chorus Girl,” leaving no crumbs. Now with a featured role and will to serve once more with her massive amount of lines, Nina is excited to perform. She is so thankful for Mrs. D and Patty Kelleher, and the opportunity to be a part of the cast. She is especially grateful for her parents and the agonizing hours they have committed to driving back and forth from PVI. She hopes you enjoy the show! * Denotes member of the International Thespian Society 12 ^ Denotes graduating senior

Gabriela Bergstrom 2027 (Props, Set Construction) Gabriela Bergstrom is a freshman at PVI, considered inside the Class of 2027. She is involved with helping out with the creation of the backgrounds for the shows at PVI Theatre’s set builds on Saturdays, especially when it terrifies her friends that she will handle power tools for 4-8 hours, given her hyperness and ADHD. Along with set builds, Gabriela is part of Props Crew. You can guess what they do. It's in the name. Anyways, she enjoys helping out with the backdrop because of her enjoyment for painting and crafts, no matter how crazy or big of a project it is. You tell her to paint a mustache on your enemy's face; she will do it. It's the perfect revenge project. One might have to pay her with a Hershey's chocolate bar, though. Or several. Like why not, ya know? Gotta do stuff to the fullest…except getting up in the morning. That is her nightmare. This child is full-on-nightowl-kinda-gall. All righty, enjoy the show created by the most totally best theatre cast and crew! Faith Birch^* 2024 (Stage Manager, Set Construction) Eleven shows, five positions, and three years later, Faith has finally made it to her senior year production. Faith lives in the theater, moving sets, writing, blocking, and reading scripts. She would like to thank everyone she has met along the way because they are the reason why she loves theatre. Alexis Boland* 2025 (Head of Marketing, Stage Crew, Set Construction) Alexis is only writing this for the promised 30 dollars, so she'll keep it brief: Shoutout to being head of marketing, the lovely lovely people driving the marketing crew around, and set build donuts. No shoutout for not having a driver's license, her lack of time management skills, and bio writing. Enjoy any wall with texture because it took way too long to do. * Denotes member of the International Thespian Society 13 ^ Denotes graduating senior

Katie Boland^* 2024 (Props) Katie is a senior this year, and she expects to hear some cheers for the set and props! Sophia Bonillo 2026 (Lights) Sophia is a sophomore at PVI and part of the lights crew. She hopes to continue learning in the lights crew during her next two years at PVI. Lia Boyle^* 2024 (Abigail Williams, Head of Hair and Makeup, Programs, Marketing, Set Construction) Lia is super duper excited to play Abigail in The Crucible. In her free time, Lia enjoys accusing people of witchcraft, talking about old goats, and being an Abigail apologist. Last year Lia played Greta in Murder on the Orient Express, who was quite the opposite of Abigail! Anyways, Lia prepared for this role by making a playlist that only consisted of Taylor Swift songs (“Would've, Could've, Should've” IS Abigail's song). She would like to thank the directors, her parents, the crews, and the super silly cast for making this show possible! The end.

😂🔥

Maddie Bradford 2026 (Mercy Lewis, Hair and Makeup, Set Construction) Maddie is a sophomore and this is her second performance with PVI! She has enjoyed accusing people of witchcraft and doing everything Abigail Williams says. When she’s not at rehearsals or getting boba, she’s probably stressing about chemistry, making history notes, or sleeping. Maddie wants to thank the amazing directors for making this show the best it can be! She is so grateful for all the friends she has made throughout this process! She also wants to thank her family for all their support! She hopes you enjoy the show! #liaboyle

Dani Bruno 2026 (Tituba, Costumes, Set Construction) Dani Bruno is a sophomore here at PVI. She’s been working as a member of the costumes crew and has acted as part of the ensemble in last year’s musical. That being said, Dani is really, really, really, reallyyy excited and nervous to be a part of both cast and crew in this year’s play. She hopes you enjoy the show just as much as she did! Charlie Buckreis^ 2024 (Stage Crew, Set Construction) Charlie is a senior at PVI. While this is his first year participating in theatre at PVI, he was part of theatre from sixth through eighth grade. In his spare time he enjoys reading, long walks on the beach, and playing Minecraft. He's been playing the violin since he was about five, and has been part of the Music Department for all four years at PVI. He has really enjoyed working on The Crucible. Gabbi Burgos 2026 (Sarah Good, Abigail Williams U/S, Marketing, Set Construction) Gabbi is a sophomore at PVI and this is her third show. Gabbi was featured in last year’s fall production of Murder on the Orient Express as Princess Dragomiroff and the spring musical, Nice Work If You Can Get it as an attractive, purple cop and obviously ate in both shows. Gabbi would like to thank her family, Patty Kelleher, Mrs. D, and Parmis for driving her everywhere (especially to boba after rehearsal; bless her). Gabbi hopes you enjoy seeing her in the show, but please don’t fart on Thomas Putnam. #liaboyle

Faith Caputo^ 2024 (Head of Costumes) If you chose to take a stroll down one of the many winding pathways through the realm of PVI theatre, you would eventually find your way to the costumes room and see a storm of insanity trying to be handled by Faith Caputo. Costumes is an adventure and she would like to thank her co-head Annie Howard* and her wonderful costumes crew for forging ahead with her. Alexa Cruz 2027 (Hair and Makeup) Alexa Cruz is a freshman at PVI and part of hair and makeup crew. She has always enjoyed doing her hair and makeup as a way to express herself. Alexa is a part of Cooking Club, Model UN, and Theatre. Alexa loves theatre and is so glad she joined. Hannah Dearmon 2024 (Stage Crew)

😋

Adam Delacourt 2025 (Lights, Set Construction) Adam is a junior who wandered into the control booth just days before the spring production of Nice Work If You Can Get It. Turns out he was pretty good at running a spotlight, so they decided to keep him on for this year. You can find him on the catwalk or in the booth, usually eating, and pretty much never knowing what's going on. He hopes you enjoy the show. Victoria Delacourt 2027 (Costumes, Set Construction) After having previously been on the Teatro Montini stage for Theatre Camp and the Diocesan Shakespeare Festival and off stage in the audience of many prior shows, Victoria is excited to be working backstage on her first production as a freshman at PVI. She has really enjoyed working on the costumes crew and is excited for the next show! * Denotes member of the International Thespian Society 16 ^ Denotes graduating senior

Logan Esposito 2025 (Stage Crew, Set Construction) Logan is a junior at PVI. He joined theatre last year to spend more time with his friends, and he has loved it ever since. He hopes that everyone has a great time and enjoys the show. Katie Faist 2026 (Programs, Marketing, Set Construction) This is Katie's second year in PVI theatre as a member of marketing, cappies, and programs. See how cool the programs are? You’re welcome. She briefly made an appearance in last year’s musical and she has really enjoyed working on The Crucible this year. William Fallon 2027 (Props, Set Construction) William is a freshman here at PVI. He is a member of props, even though you probably saw that next to his name. He would like to thank his family, his pug, everyone who has given him advice, and Mr. K for teaching him how to drill holes in wood boards. Yes, you read that right. He was told to mention what an AbSoLuTE JOy it has been to work on this play. Enjoy the show! Emily Fountaine 2025 (Head of Spots) Emily Fountaine is returning for her second year of lighting up the stage! As always, she would like to thank her family, who put up with her nonstop talking, and her friends, who do cool things for her, like buy her food and write her bio. She would like everyone to know she's grateful she's not living in the 1600s because she would probably be hung for witchcraft. Enjoy the super cool spotlights!

Jacob Gozzi 2025 (John Willard) My name is Jake and Imma be real right now Im just playing the new season of og fortnite and yeah thats about it I am a junior i guess thats important too but yeah og is back guys big win.

Audrey Grimm 2026 (Assistant Stage Manager, Set Construction) You’ll never see me <3 Ava Grom* 2025 (Betty, U/S Mary Warren, Costumes, Set Construction) Ava is a junior at PVI and is over the moon that she is part of PVI Theatre. PVI Theatre has created such a great atmosphere for her and always is there for her when she is feeling low. PVI Theatre is such a great place, and she hopes others get involved to experience how great PVI theatre really is. She hopes you enjoy the show. Have a nice night! Carole Hasto^* 2024 (Head of Props) Carole Ann is a senior at PVI. She is a member of the National Honors Society, the French Honor Society, and the International Thespian Society. She has been involved in theatre for four years and is overjoyed to work on this production. Katherine Heflin 2027 (Elizabeth Proctor, Hair and Makeup, Set Construction) Katherine is overjoyed to be involved in this production. In the previous year, she swapped out her hat and umbrella in Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins) for a bald cap and shoulder pads as Uncle Fester (The Addams Family), and is now ready to embrace the Puritan garb. She is so happy to be a part of this wonderful community. Katherine would like to thank her parents (aka her chauffeurs until she gets her license), her fellow castmates and wonderful crew, and the amazing directors who made this show possible. * Denotes member of the International Thespian Society 18 ^ Denotes graduating senior

Cameron Herrera 2027 (Hopkins, Francis Nurse U/S, Set Construction) Thee overconfident, witty, and charismatic freshman Cameron Herrera is once again pulling up to the function as Hopkins in PVI's The Crucible. While he may have one line in the play, he has a 60-word limit for his bio. Upon learning this, he stated, "We refuse to be confined by the limitations imposed upon us by society, and we… Annie Howard* 2025 (Mary Warren, Co-Head of Costumes) Annie is a junior at PVI, and this is her third production as part of the PVI Players. Although she would like to list other hobbies in this bio, theatre is the only thing she has been doing during the past few months. She would like to thank her amazing cast and crew, Faith Caputo^, who is her equally amazing costumes co-head, her wonderful directors, her incredibly supportive family, and Josephine the poppet. She hopes you enjoy the show! Kitana Jones 2026 (Props) Kitana loves being in props! Coming to set build, eating sawdust for lunch, and hanging out with friends is so much fun! Madison Jones 2026 (Props) Madison Jones is a sophomore who gladly serves the fabulous props crew. She swears she will never give you up, never let you down, never run around and desert you. She will never make you cry, never say goodbye, never tell a lie and hurt you. Trinity Jones* 2025 (Co-head of Lights, Set Construction) *insert bio here*

* Denotes member of the International Thespian Society 19 ^ Denotes graduating senior

Alexandra Jordan 2026 (Rebecca Nurse, Set Construction) Alexa is a sophomore at PVI and is involved in choir and theatre. She was in last year's musical Nice Work If You Can Get It and plays Rebecca Nurse in The Crucible. Daniel Jung^ 2024 (Sound, Set Construction) Do you know all those Ford F-150 commercials you see while watching TV? That’s exactly the vibe you’ll get from Gunwoo “Danny” Jung. He’s strong, built tough, all-American, and runs on diesel fuel, but if America was Korea and if diesel fuel was a dangerous mix between Monster energy drinks and actual gasoline. Danny is a senior at PVI and a proud part of the sound crew. He would like to thank his friends and family, especially his favorite alumni, Jackson Herrera ’23. Jahan Kabadi 2025 (Co-head of Lights, Set Construction) Jahan is a junior here at PVI. He joined theatre last year as a member of the lights crew under the direction of Jack Duren for the world-renowned show (Murder on the Orient Express). He had no idea what adventures would await him. He did such a good job for that show and the spring musical, that this year he will serve as YOUR (co) head of SPOTS! He would like to thank Father Duren otherwise known as Jack for writing the best bio this show has ever seen. #greenspotjustice #flameJack Duren Genevieve Kaminski 2027 (Constance) Genevieve became somewhat crazed with power as Ursula in her middle school production and made young theatergoers cry - or at least hesitate in their autograph collecting. Honestly, she was surprised at how many small children wanted to high-five her tentacles. As a freshman at PVI, repented of her evil ways, Genevieve is virtuously ratting out witches in The Crucible and enjoying being a part of the fabulous performing arts community. * Denotes member of the International Thespian Society 20 ^ Denotes graduating senior

Martin Keller^ 2024 (Stage Crew) This is Martin's third play, and it is his third time wondering why he decided to sign up. All jokes and complaining aside, though, Martin is very excited for The Crucible cuz he loved reading it in last year's English class and hopes that everything goes well and that he and his friends make the most of their last theatre year (ever). Lily Ketron^* 2024 (Hair and Makeup, Marketing) Lily is a senior and is sad to say that this will be her last fall play at PVI. She has been a part of theatre since freshman year, and she loves it very much. This is her first year not acting in the production. She still wanted to be a part of the family, so she is on the makeup and marketing crews. She would like to thank her family and dog for all the support they give her. She would especially like to thank all the friends she has made in theatre because she wouldn't still be here if it weren't for them. She hopes you all enjoy the show! Alex Krepinevich 2026 (Hope, U/S Susanna Walcott, Set Construction) Alex is a sophomore at PVI and this will be her third production with the PVI players. She will be playing Hope as well as Susanna's U/S in the production of The Crucible. If you have ever come to a PVI performance before, you may have seen her in Murder on the Orient Express or Nice Work If You Can Get It. If you have been to any of those performances, I was the ginger with curly hair (not to be confused with Lia Boyle^*, the other ginger with curly hair). I hope you enjoy the show, and if something happens with the sound or lights just remember, it's probably a witch attempting to kill us all. Have a WoNdErFuL time and enjoy our show. * Denotes member of the International Thespian Society 21 ^ Denotes graduating senior

Emma Ladowicz 2026 (Charity, Elizabeth Proctor U/S, Set Construction) Emma is a sophomore at PVI this year. She is excited to be a part of the cast of The Crucible and hopes that everyone enjoys the show. Emma would like to thank her family for their continuous support, her friends for helping her to run lines, and caffeine for keeping her awake after rehearsal. Although she is sad to see the play coming to a close, she is really looking forward to the upcoming musical! Outside of theatre, Emma enjoys baking and writing. Natalia Lama 2025 (Hair and Makeup) Hiii, Natalia Lama is a junior at PVI and this is her fifth production working on the hair and makeup crew. Theatre has given her many amazing memories and friendships in the past two years that she holds very close to her heart. Along with the hair and makeup crew, she is a Cappies critic for the main team at PVI. She hopes you enjoy the show! <3 Olivia Lattanze* 2025 (Assistant Stage Manager, Set Construction) Welcome to The Crucible! Beware of witches and don't get caught doing witchcraft! This is a warm welcome from your assistant stage manager, Olivia Lattanze*. Olivia is a junior now and has been a PVI Player for three years. She started on stage crew and has been an ASM for the past two years. She is thrilled to be a part of this magical production and hopes you enjoy all the hard work she does (aka pulling the curtain open) because, without her, you all would be staring at a gray curtain! Haha! Grace Lemmon 2026 (Sound, Props) Grace Lemmon made the salad in last year’s production of Nice Work If You Can Get It. * Denotes member of the International Thespian Society 22 ^ Denotes graduating senior

Indra Malli 2027 (Sound, Set Construction) Indra is a freshman at PVI and is on the sound crew. Since this is her first production, she’s super excited! Dante Masserini 2025 (Props, Set Construction) Dante is a junior at PVI. This is only his first time in theatre, but he has had an absolute blast working on The Crucible. His greatest life achievements are listening to Never Gonna Give You Up until his ears bled and knowing how to spell pneumonoultramicroscopicsilico- IS THAT JaMeS sKeEs??? Taylor Mcarthy 2027 (Lights, Set Construction) Taylor is a freshman and is so excited for her first show with PVI Theatre in lights crew! Outside of school, she enjoys dancing and hanging out with friends. Taylor has had such a fun time working on this show. She is very thankful for her family and specifically her parents for driving her home after late rehearsals. :) Aedan McConnell* 2025 (Rev. John Hale, Programs, Marketing, Set Construction) Aedan has finally entered the realm of upperclassmen as a junior, and with this promotion of age comes the responsibility of driving. Aedan hopes to see you all on the road very soon. Ronan McConville* 2025 (Putnam, Parris U/S, Set Construction) Don't worry I know it's sickening seeing such a flawless person. Don't feel TOO bad about it! #liaboyle Lilia McKinley^ 2024 (Sound) Lilia is a senior at PVI on the Sound Crew. She has had such a fun time in PVI Theatre and can't wait for everyone to see the show! * Denotes member of the International Thespian Society 23 ^ Denotes graduating senior

Isabella Merhi^ 2024 (Head of Sound) Bella is head of sound and a senior at PVI. She was told to mention what an AbSoLuTE JOy it has been to work on this beautiful production. She also feels the need to mention that she may have had too much fun searching for decapitation sound effects. Jakob Mirkes 2025 (Sound, Set Construction) I wrote a bio, do I get the $10 gift card now? Charlotte Porcelli 2026 (Grace, Betty Parris U/S, Marketing), Set Construction) Charlotte is a sophomore at PVI and this is her third production with the fantastic PVI Players! You may have seen her in the past as a little girl getting murdered in Murder On The Orient Express, a flapper girl in Nice Work If You Can Get It, or a zombie in One Acts. She would like to thank all of her amazing friends and family for their lovely support, set-build rides, and boba runs. She hopes you enjoy the show and the yellow bird is absolutely there. #liaboyle Princeton Porterfield 2027 (Francis Nurse, Deputy Gov. Danforth U/S , Set Construction) Princeton is thrilled to be joining the cast of PVI's fall production, The Crucible. He has performed in numerous productions, ranging from musicals to dramas. Princeton would like to thank the Theatre department for giving him this wonderful opportunity, and he hopes to work with them in the future as well. He would also like to thank his family for their continued support. Parmis Rahai^ 2024 (Felicity, Sarah Good U/S, Hair and Makeup, Marketing, Set Construction) Finally, am i right? Parmis has arrived

😜

Madison Renuart 2026 (Ann Putnam) Madison is in the sophomore Class of 2026. This is Madison's first show at PVI and she is so excited for upcoming shows. Madison has had so much fun being a part of this show and she wants to thank the cast, crew, directors, and managers for making this show amazing. Lexy Said 2026 (Martha Corey, Tituba U/S, Hair and Makeup, Marketing, Set Construction) Lexy is a sophomore at PVI and this is her third show with these gorgeous humans. She started her freshman year as an old goat #liaboyle and ended it as a flapper. She has kicked off this year accused of witchcraft for reading (women can't do that apparently), and she loves being on hair and makeup, and it's super fun because we get to put makeup on all the men while we listen to Taylor Swift because we know she's their fav. Enjoy the show!! Mia Sampilo 2026 (Lights, Set Construction) Mia is a sophomore at PVI. She is involved in the Yarnvlle Club, Jazz Band, Cinema Studies Club, French Club, Military Club, and Writer’s Block at PVI. This is Mia's first year being a member of the Tri-M (music honors society). She would like to thank her parents for taking her to the set builds. Mia has a corgi named Lizzie, who is the most perfect dog ever. James Skees 2027 (Ezekiel Cheever, Set Construction) James is a freshman at PVI and has had an amazing time working on The Crucible, which is James's first, and hopefully not last, show at PVI. He also met lots of amazing people while working on the show and, as a wise man once said, "I think it be the cows, sir,” and he thanks all of you for coming out to see the show. * Denotes member of the International Thespian Society 25 ^ Denotes graduating senior

Hayden Springer^* 2024 (Deputy Gov. Danforth, Head of Lights, Props, Set Construction) Hi. I do stuff and also do things. I like field goals. Mateo Sur^* 2024 (John Proctor, Set Builder, Costumes, Set Construction) Mateo has accumulated quite a number of personas over the years, all individually rooting a part of themselves within his very core, ensuring that he will forever be haunted by his performance. This time, the soul of John Proctor will infest his mind and control what can only be perceived as Mateo Sur. One can only pray and hope for the return of his bodily husk. Matias Tarver 2027 (U/S John Willard, Set Construction) So apparently there's supposed to be a bio here which is umm interesting. So before this commences thanks for showing up; that's a lot especially if you didn't want to come (speaking from experience you don't wanna know it involves a giant peach). This is being written before a majority of this thing has taken place so it probably has been "an AbSoLuTE JOy to work on this beautiful production." Thanks to the PVI acting company for all the help in addition to the Holy Spirit which fostered my love of acting and raised Matias to be a (mostly) good person. So with that enjoy the show also thanks to the following people: Aohur fvb av tf whyluaz huk tf myplukz ha WCP aolf olsw tl aoyvbno hsva huk npcl tl ovwl Madeline Tellis 2027 (Lights) Madeline is a freshman at PVI and she is part of the lights crew. She has four siblings, two sisters and two brothers. She has been playing the clarinet for five years, and she is part of the Honors Symphonic Band here at PVI. She also participates in the Chess Club and the Medical Club. * Denotes member of the International Thespian Society 26 ^ Denotes graduating senior

Olivia Unverzagt 2026 (Costumes) Olivia is a sophomore at PVI and is excited to be working on the costumes crew again this year! Although behind the scenes, she does theatre shows frequently outside of school and was in PVI's Nice Work If You Can Get It as a bubble girl and understudy this past spring. Enjoy the show! Iain Valleskey^* 2024 (Giles Corey, Head of Programs, Set Construction) If you think your life is hard multiply it by 1,000, then take the derivative and graph it on a coordinate plane, then throw out all the math you just did. Somewhere in there you’ll find Iain Valleskey. Iain is not only a senior at PVI, but also the head of programs which means nobody can stop him from making his bio suuuuuuuuper loooooooooong. Iain’s PVI Theatre career dates back to his freshman year when he had the unfortunate displeasure of being involved in the much-begroaned production of Deck the Stage. Since then, Iain has been permanently roped into theatre with absolutely no hope of escaping. He’s played quite a variety of roles throughout the years: “mental institution owner who goes insane,” “high school student who browsed Fox News,” “goofy train owner and wannabe detective,” “lovestruck bootlegger and involuntary chef,” and in this production he will be taking on the role of “endearing old man with an unfortunate suspicion of books.” Aside from his incredibly illustrious and critically acclaimed acting career he also heads the program crew which more often than not is starting to feel like a desk job, but that’s okay! (it's not. Answering emails is awful; how do you adult people do that all day). At this time, he’s probably rethinking the life choices that got him here and then writing those thoughts down in a college essay. He would like to thank his family and friends for all their support, and he hopes you enjoy the show! #patriciagracekelleher * Denotes member of the International Thespian Society 27 ^ Denotes graduating senior

Jillian Villaver^* 2024 (Master Carpenter, Stage Crew, Set Construction) Jillian is a senior and asks that you all please clap whenever there is a set change. <3 Cole Wade^ 2024 (Set Construction) Cole is a senior at PVI and has been a long-time supporter of the theatre program; however, he has never had the time to be a member. Finally, he put himself to use and has had the chance to really help out with the excellent work he has done during set build. You can thank him for *several* of those fancy little constructions you see on stage. Although he isn't in the shows, he will be cheering (excessively) loudly at every show! Devyn Wallace^ 2024 (Master Painter, Stage Crew, Set Builder, Set Construction) Iain since ur literally my best friend in theatre I think u should write it for me. Sophia Walter* 2025 (Set Designer, Master Carpenter, Stage Crew, Programs, Set Construction) Most human bodies are composed of 60% water, but Sophia has spent enough time in the shop that the 60% has been entirely replaced with sawdust. This is not a joke and is actually a very serious condition. Keep her in your prayers. She would like to thank Mr. Kelleher for every time he has ever nitpicked a tiny detail on a finished project that would be literally impossible to fix. She does not know what she would do without him. <3 #patriciagracekelleher #ripsarahburkat

Chanelle Ward 2025 (Stage Crew, Set Construction) Chanelle is a junior at PVI and a member of the stage crew. She has enjoyed working on the sets and other shows. She is excited to work on The Crucible. Conner Westberg^ 2024 (Head of Stage Crew, Set Construction) Conner is a jovial senior at Paul VI. He has excitedly been a part of this said theatre program for three years. He has climbed the ranks from stage crew member, to head of stage crew. Conner wouldn't be in theatre unless he was doing what he loved and hated with his friends. Let's be clear on something, Conner adores theatre because his friends are there to bask in the wonderful experience as well. Theatre is a love-hate relationship, one Conner will gladly participate in. And yes, theatre is a joy!!!!!!! I hope you enjoy the show! Roy Wulf 2026 (Judge Hathorne, Lights, Set Construction) Roy Wulf is a PVI sophomore. He enjoys all kinds of music, but especially music from the ’90s…well, at least…from the 1690s …but that’s when our play is set! Previously, Roy was in Pied Piper Theatre’s Mary Poppins (2016), Rooftop Productions’ Elf the Musical (2019) and A Christmas Chaos (2021), and PVI’s production of Nice Work If You Can Get It (2023). He also appeared in the feature film I Heard the Bells (2022), which just happens to be coming out today (November 16, 2023) on DVD!

Director’s Notes Arthur Miller wrote his allegorical play, THE CRUCIBLE in 1953. At that time, paranoia and fear of accusation were running rampant over the country in response to Senator Joseph McCarthy and the “Red Scare.” McCarthy claimed that he had a list of “members of the Communist party and members of a spy ring” employed in the State Department. Before long, the interminable hearings called hundreds of witnesses to testify to defend themselves and accuse others. Lives were ruined, and many were blacklisted in their careers, including Arthur Miller himself. In THE CRUCIBLE, this fear and paranoia destroys the town of Salem, Massachusetts. The rumors and false accusations put individual against the community, mix theology with gossip and force many to abandon their integrity and their religion. I’ve wanted to produce this show for many years and am happy to make it my 30th production of PVI Theatre! I’m honored to work with these talented and devoted students. My thanks go out to Mrs. Laura Swenson and Mr. Tom Opfer for their constant support. 32

Ken Kelleher, our technical consultant and master of all things to do with production, has worked with our program for over 20 years. He started when his first child joined the PVI Players, stayed through all four of his children’s time in PVI Theatre, and continued on because of his love of working with our students. He has decided to retire and will be sorely missed by all of us. Patty Kelleher, my assistant and technical director, continues to be my right-hand woman. She learned much from her dad (the aforementioned Ken) and continues our tradition of excellence. She teaches the tech students everything they need to know, and the cast and crew love her. Thanks go to so many for helping make this show a success. The Producers’ Executive Committee and so many parents kept us all going with their help and, like all good moms, kept us fed. My friends and family always support us unconditionally, especially my husband Geoff, who worked many set builds, and my kids, PVI grads ’12 and ’15, who now teach in the diocese. Though you may not “enjoy” this play, I hope it will be a good experience for you.
