Prince William County Park Rangers

The Park Ranger Division of the Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism is responsible for promoting the safe enjoyment of Prince William County’s parks and recreational facilities. The Park Ranger division will provide information and guidance on the following: • Natural resources, game and fishing compliance. • Geocaching inspections and authorization. • Naturalist programming • Special events • Hold harmless agreements • ABC permits confirmation/ compliance • Use of moon bounces, tents and temporary structures • Outside grilling and use of personal grills On a daily basis Park Rangers maintain a visible presence at all park properties and provide

patron support as needed. Park Rangers coordinate directly with Prince William County law enforcement on matters of security and the enforcement of applicable laws.

• Report suspicious activity in any of our parks, trails or recreational facilities. • Unauthorized motor vehicles (including ATVs, off-road motorcycles) on trails, ballfields and/or passive recreation areas of park property. • Parking and/or traffic issues within park property.
