& Tourism has instructional dance programs for ages 2 through adult. Ballet, tap, hip hop, and jazz are offered, with opportunities to perform learned skills. Our program runs from Sept to June and is based on a curriculum for a progression of learned skills. Payment is divided into five sessions from Sept. to June. It is not required to register for the year-long classes. Program fees per class are due prior to start dates of each session. Registration closes after the second class during each session. Classes that do not meet the minimum requirement may be cancelled or combined. Dance classes may not be pro-rated. Uniforms are not required for the first two classes. No Classes: Nov. 25 through Nov. 28 Students must be registered in Sessions 1 & 2 to participate in the Holiday presentation Nutcracker in a Nutshell.

ADAPTED DANCE AGES 7-15 Dance is for everyone! Our adaptive dance will help develop communication skills through movement. This class will encourage self-expression, creativity, and physical fitness. ADULT BALLET AGES 15+ This is your dream to be a ballerina. This class will teach correct posture, develop flexibility and strength. BEG TUMBLING & JAZZ AGES 4-7 This fun beginner class offers young children the experience of both jazz and tumbling. Basic tumbling skills such as forward rolls, backward rolls, and cartwheel prep will be introduced and developed to increase strength and flexibility. Students will develop coordination with basic fun jazz moves and learn a jazz routine. The jazz and tumbling complement each other. INTRO TO DANCE AGES 3-5 This class is for the pre-school age student to explore dance, creativity, and socialization. The class is perfect for boys and girls. This is an important level as this class lays the foundations of classical ballet. Dancers at this level will use foot exercises to prepare for pointe work. BALLET 2 AGES 10-16 This class will teach the Cecchetti syllabus level 2. This level focuses on foot work and strength as dancers will begin or have began pointe work. This will allow the dancer to create a specific goal: leaps, turns, jumps, pointe work, audition practice, etc. The continuity of privates will give you the extra practice to move to leading roles.
