Prince William County Parks,

Recreation & Tourism has instructional dance programs for ages 2 through adult. Ballet, tap, hip hop, and jazz are offered, with opportunities to perform learned skills. Our program runs from Sept to June and is based on a curriculum for a progression of learned skills. Payment is divided into five sessions from Sept. to June. It is not required to register for the year-long classes. Program fees per class are due prior to start dates of each session. Registration closes after the second class during each session. Classes that do not meet the minimum requirement may be cancelled or combined. Dance classes may not be pro-rated. Uniforms are not required for the first two classes. No class May 29-31. Students must be registered in Sessions 4 & 5 to participate in the June 19 at DCRC.

Dance is for everyone! Our adaptive dance will help develop communication skills through movement. This class will encourage self-expression, creativity, and physical fitness. ADULT BALLET AGES 15+

This is your dream to be a ballerina. This class will teach correct posture, develop flexibility and strength. BEG TUMBLING & JAZZ AGES 4-7 This fun beginner class offers young children the experience of both jazz and tumbling. Basic tumbling skills such as forward rolls, backward rolls, and cartwheel prep will be introduced and developed to increase strength and flexibility. Here’s your chance to become the star you can be! Create the training to fit your needs. Receive the one on one attention that will give you confidence and special attention. Private lessons help the dancer to understand dance technique and tricks to the trade. M-F May 3-28 / 9a-7p $39

PRIVATE LESSONS PACKAGE AGES 8+

This package is one on one training for four sessions. This will allow the dancer to create a specific goal: leaps, turns, jumps, pointe work, audition practice, etc. The continuity of privates will give you the extra practice to move to leading roles. SEMI-PRIVATE DANCE LESSONS AGES 8+

TUMBLING & JAZZ 1 AGES 7-10 Students will learn the basics of tumbling to develop the skills to do cartwheels, handstands, and forward and backward rolls.
