There’s a packed line-up to keep all ages entertained this half term. The programme features music, comedy, dance and craft!

First up, there’s world record-breaking beatboxer SK Shlomo. He makes mad music with his mouth. You can become one of this sonic superhero’s sidekicks in a world of funny sounds, brilliant noises and cool music, whether you’re aged 1 or 101! Tweedy - the comedy and slapstick legend and star of Gifford’s Circus, Cirque Berserk and the Cheltenham Everyman pantomime is paying the Maltings a visit on Fri 18 February. In this one man, family show, Tweedy illustrates an impressive repertoire of comedic talents which have made him one of the most respected and popular clowns the country currently has to offer. No matter what he does, Tweedy seems to get into a mess, but to the delight of audiences of all ages he can always find a creative way to get out of it. Celebrate The Beautiful Game with all-female dance company, Next Door Dance. Four women deliver a knockout performance in this ballsy, high-energy show which is brimming with nostalgia and set to a backdrop of chant-along hits and a buzzing soundtrack. 16th February Lino Printing: 5-9yrs This linocut workshop is a great introduction to the art of graphics. Through participation in the Lino Workshop, children will develop their imagination. They’ll learn to express their creativity and ideas. After an initial introduction to the technique, children will create graphic work using pre-prepared matrices in several exciting themes. Lino printing is a great opportunity not only to create interesting and unique work, but above all, it’s fun for those who are willing to get their fingers dirty during the creative process. 19th February The Beautiful Game Some love it, others loathe it, but we can’t avoid it – it’s everywhere! A laughout-loud look at our undying obsession with football, celebrating everything from weird match-day rituals to ridiculous armchair punditry. The Beautiful Game explores the highs and lows of football fandom – it may even attempt to explain the offside rule. 6th March & 3rd April Kids’ Symphonic Sundays Bring your family to hear professional musicians give an introduction to the instruments of the orchestra. They’ll have the chance to sing, dance and conduct, whilst learning a huge amount and hearing the most beautiful sounds Nicki and James provide engaging, interactive family concerts which increase the musical knowledge of kids - and their grownups - in equal measure. Each concert stars a new professional guest who provides a deep dive into the workings of their specialist instrument, followed by a chance for everyone to get hands on with the instrument for themselves. 18th February Game Design and Programming With Computer Xplorers West Surrey In this new course for the children will work individually to design and program their own 3D video game using a piece of software called Kodu. They will be taught Kodu’s When + Do programming logic and will make a number of games that they can install and play on a PC at home. They will use an Xbox controller (which we will supply) to operate the software and play the games. Please note: You will need a Windows PC with a charger and password for the day. Does your child dream of being the next Harry Potter, or maybe Tracy Beaker? If they’re keen to explore their creative and dramatic flair, then Encore Drama Classes at G Live are just the ticket. Encore is an inclusive drama class for children with SEN running on Saturday mornings throughout the Spring. There are sessions for juniors (711 year olds) at 10am and seniors (12-17 year olds) at 11:30am. performers and aspiring actors are encouraged to take to the stage however they feel comfortable. There will be optional termly show backs to family and friends to demonstrate all the hard work and progress made in classes. Sessions are led by a specialist SEN practitioner providing the highest level of creative tuition and fantastic pastoral care. Spaces are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
