angela’s swim school
swim to win at life Are you looking for swimming lessons for your family? At Angela’s Swim School your child and their swimming lesson experience is our number one priority. We want children to enjoy the water and have fun in their lessons, and at the same time learn water confidence and technique. We teach all ages and abilities, with babies being able to join in on the fun from four months old. Swimming is a skill that children can enjoy for a lifetime. Swimming lessons teach children self-confidence, encourage physical fitness and cut the risk of drowning, one of the leading causes of death for young children. Swimming can also bring about new and exciting opportunities in water based sports and activities. Whether your goal is to have your children playing safely in the water, provide them

with regular fitness or to fulfil their desire to participate in more water based activities, at Angela’s Swim School we ensure all of our swimmers reach their full potential. We do this by keeping our lessons small, teaching from within the water and having a team of instructors who really understand technique, the majority of which are current or ex-competitive swimmers. Our lesson approach enables our team to provide each child with individual attention during the lesson tailoring their instructions to the ability and development stage of your child and not to the average ability of the group. The Swim School was set up by a former Team GB swimmer who is passionate about getting all children swimming and having this valuable life skill. n

Remember to use your
food waste caddy You can now line your food waste caddy with plastic bags or liners, which makes it easier, cheaper and cleaner to recycle your food. Plastic bags or liners are less likely to rip or tear than compostable liners. You can use anything from old shopping bags and pedal bin liners to salad and bread bags, but not black bin bags. Food should be removed from any packaging first.
If you’ve got food like fish bones or onions you don’t want hanging around in your kitchen, you can tie it up in a plastic bag and put it straight into your outside food waste bin.
All cooked and uncooked food waste can go in your caddy, including tea bags, eggshells, mouldy bread, vegetable peelings, meat bones and food that’s past its use by date. The food waste is collected from your outside food waste bin every week on the same day as your rubbish or recycling. It is taken to an anaerobic digester where microorganisms break it down to create electricity to power our homes. This process also creates a liquid fertiliser which is used in farming. If everyone in Surrey put all their food
