Summer is the perfect time to get crafty

The long holiday is a great opportunity to spend quality time bonding with your kids while they learn through play and spend less time in front of screens.

According to a study conducted by toucanBox, eight in ten of 556 parents parents said that their child’s mental wellbeing is their top concern. Through arts and crafts children express their creativity and their feelings, boosting their mental health.

Parents are often concerned that the summer holiday leads to a “summer slide” where kids forget some of what they learned over the previous school year. Fortunately, crafting with your child this summer helps them to develop their fine motor skills, ability to identify shapes and colours and their general understanding of the world around them.

In addition, crafting is just plain fun! Kids love to spend time with their parents and what better way to create lifelong memories than crafting together? If you’re looking for a way to keep your kids busy this summer, we highly recommend you get crafting!

toucanBox is a flexible subscription encouraging crafting, creativity and learning in children aged 3-8. Get your Free Box at www. toucanbox.com/offer. Use code PTFREE.
