There’s a sizzling line-up to keep all ages entertained during the summer months at Farnham Maltings.
First up, The Greenhouse is a magical dance performance for young audiences aged 4+. Join Pimpernell and Peppina in exploring some of the wonderful stories of the plant world. The Greenhouse takes place outside the Maltings on Sat 09 July at 11.30am & 2.30pm. Tickets £8.
After two popular street events last summer, the food trucks are back at Farnham Maltings, serving up mouth-watering street food. Together with a pop-up bar and live music, street has all the elements for a fun festival atmosphere! There’s also the brilliant high impact rock and indie band, 21st Century Riot, providing an authentic sound playing classic hits from the likes of The Killers, Kings of Leon, and many more. (includes drink) and under 18s free (ticket required).
A Midsummer Night’s Dream (In Sixty Minutes) by Scoot Theatre on Thu 28 July (2pm & 6pm) is taking place at Farnham Cricket Club. Get ready for confusion, chaos and costume changes. A perfect first introduction to Shakespeare and fun for all the family! Family ticket for 4, £40 (under 5s free).
The Rascally Diner is a riotous, fun-filled, messy performance about food for anyone 5+. Taking place outside in front of the Maltings, Chef Rufus Skumskins O’Parsley is famous for creating some of the world’s most disgusting dishes. You might know him from the award-winning children’s book ‘The Rascally Cake’, written by Jeanne Willis and Korky Paul. The Rascally Diner takes place outside the Maltings on Tue 09 August at 11.30am & 2.30pm. Tickets £8.

01252 745444 12 July Maltings Youth Theatre: Brainstorm ‘Brainstorm’ is a play about teenage brain development, told through the real-life experiences of the young people who create and perform it. It was originated by the award-winning and innovative youth theatre Company Three and was performed at the National Theatre in London. Company Three have since created a blueprint for ‘Brainstorm’ that has enabled countless youth theatres around the world to create their own version of the play and we are thrilled that our very own Maltings Youth Theatre are devising their own version! The group will learn more about the creation of a play from research and development to writing, editing, and rehearsing. £8 - 60 mins
28 July – 30 August Artbox Summer Workshop Have fun learning how to create a collection of seasonal summer inspired mixed media work. Get the opportunity to explore and experiment in a range of creative art, craft and design activities, introducing you to drawing, mixed media and sculpture. Rufus went viral after baking a huge, human-eating cake from ingredients including snot, blubber and a cowpat. He only escaped being gobbled up by the gruesome gateau because he tasted awful – a result of his foul diet. 24 August Museum workshop: Curious Curator Access all areas! Discover the secrets of the Museum of Farnham by joining as junior curator for the day. With only a handful of others, you’ll enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the museum. You’ll venture down to our cellars, search for artefacts, find out how to record, care, label and display unseen collections - and choose your own artefact to display in the mini museum. 11 August Catch that Beast The Royal Society of Beastologists are a group with one mission: to track down mythical beasts. They can’t wait to come to Frimley Lodge Park, meet their new members and capture the Beast of Frimley. They’ve heard it’s been causing all sorts of nuisance. But Jessy, the youngest Beastologist, has her doubts about beast hunting. What if beasts don’t want to be found?
