Provide support in corners and behind appliances with wall battens

Please ensure windowsill areas are prepared and level. Please specify if a ‘lug’ is required, they are manufactured without as standard.

Where two freestanding appliances are planned side by side please ensure an end panel is fitted between them. This must go to the floor as it is structurally essential.

10. To ensure a correct worktop radius, curved doors must be fitted prior to templating. 11. To ensure a correct overhang, doors on a handleless rail system must be fitted. 12. Please ensure you have all appliances, sinks and taps on site but not installed at time of templating. (With the exception of Belfast sinks which should be). Consideration as to how these are to be centred should be given i.e. to a window, wall carcase or base units.

PREPARATION FOR TEMPLATING BELFAST SINKS Please ensure, prior to templating, your Belfast sink is fitted in its final position. Due to the method of ceramic manufacturing, Belfast sinks vary in size. As a result the worksurface overhangs required can vary considerably. If the sink is in place we can create an accurate overhang template and ensure the correct positioning of drainer grooves.
KITCHEN CABINETS To create an accurate template we need all of your kitchen units to be securely fitted in place. Digital templating requires physical location points to measure from. Missing an unsecured kitchen units can result in inaccurate measurements.
TEMPORARY WORKSURFACES Please ensure any temporary tops have been removed so we can record accurate measurements.
APPLIANCES Please ensure your appliances are on site and that you have details of the makes and models. We need to clarify cut-out sizes and positions Not all cut outs are standard and vary from brand to brand. Please check you have left the required 5mm gap either side of any free standing appliance (range cookers etc) to allow for fitting and expansion.
OVERMOUNT / LAY-ON SINKS As with all other appliances, please ensure any overmount sinks are on site. It is particularly critical with overmount sinks as their bowls don’t dictate their location on the worktop.
CURVES When templating for curved features, it is important that the door is fitted so the radius can be measured accurately. The cabinet alone is not always an accurate indication of the final radius requirement.
HANDLELESS DOORS (rail systems) Doors need to be fitted for handleless rail systems. This ensures we accurately measure the worktop overhang required.
FULL HEIGHT SPLASHBACKS & WALL CLADDING Please note splashbacks and wall cladding is a secondary template and installation process, once the worksurfaces have been fitted. Please make sure wall units have been fitted and socket plates have been removed so accurate measurements can be taken.
Please ensure you are fully prepared prior to your template. Without all appropriate preparation and required information we will not be able complete the template and this will affect your final installation.

TEMPLATE TO INSTALLATION SERVICE What to expect and when
POST TEMPLATE
PRE TEMPLATE • Upon receiving your order confirmation our Sales and Service team will call you to confirm: we have your latest drawing, and confirm the material chosen. • If your material is not part of our stock range, an order will be placed with our supplied. At this stage if the material is changed of the order is cancelled charges will be applied.
• Your requested template and installation dates will be confirmed 2 weeks before the template date. • 48 hours before your planned template our Sales and Service team will call you to confirm your readiness and re confirm details.
• Our drawing team will convert the template taken into a CAD drawing. • Our Sales and Service team will carefully check this against your original drawing for any changes. • The CAD drawing is then sent for your approval, and we will call you to discuss any changes. • If there are no queries your drawing is then passed to production. • If there are any changes to be made your drawing will go back to our drawing team. Please note payment required before being passed to production if not a credit account
• 24 hours before our templater will call you to confirm an expected time of arrival. • 1 hour pre call from templater to confirm time of arrival
UNDER PRODUCTION • Our chosen material is taken from storage to our factory. • To be manufactured to your drawing specification. • 48 hours before your planned installation our Sales and Service team will call you to confirm your readiness and re confirm details. • 24 hours before our installation team will call you to confirm an expected time of arrival.
INSTALLATION • 1 hour pre call from installation team to confirm time of arrival • Our team will walk you through your new work surface. • Talk through our warranty and after care instructions. • They will allow you time to review your new work surface. • They will answer any questions you have before asking you to sign off the installation. • Leave your home as you would expect.
