We're all looking forward to seeing you next week.

Girls, we are so thrilled to be able to welcome you back on campus for face-to-face learning and of course to enjoy each other’s company socially. It’s been such a strange time in isolation and I know we will cherish being back together as a family once again. As you know, Pymble has remained open for all girls throughout Term 1 and at the start of Term 2 to assist parents who are performing essential services and those who are simply not able to have their girls learn from home. This continues, and we ask your parents to register your attendance so we can undertake sufficient rostering and planning. However, the rest of Term 2 at Pymble is going to look a little different. Girls, I need you to understand that your return to school and the safety of other Pymble girls and staff rests in all our hands – ours, yours and your family’s. We have done everything within our power to make the campus as clean, hygienic and safe as we possibly can for face-to-face learning. We now need everyone’s unwavering commitment to all the new rules, guidelines and procedures that will help us to return to school safely and keep the campus open. These guidelines have been made in line with the Government’s health guidelines for schools and boarding schools. I need you to promise me three things. 1. You will read this book with your parents – carefully. 2. You will keep it somewhere handy for you and your parents to refer to. 3. You will pay special attention to the Golden Rules, which will be strictly enforced when you return to campus. Girls, you know that it is not in my nature to be super stern, but I need to warn you now that I, along with every other member of staff, will not turn a blind eye to any

risks or threats to the wellbeing of our Pymble family. We have high expectations for your behaviour in Term 2, which are clearly outlined in this booklet and it is your job to meet these expectations in every way and every day. You are so blessed to have teachers who care for you and our beautiful Head Prefects, Belle and Viv, who will also be here to remind you of our strict Term 2 rules and to give you their love and support along the way. They have thoughtfully created this video for you to watch, below.

• Sanitiser and tissues available in every classroom, School Offices, reception and at entry points/bus stops/gates as girls arrive at the College • Parents are required to check their child’s health each morning before school and provide personal supplies of tissues and sanitiser; flu shots are encouraged • Students are welcome to wear their own face masks; masks will be supplied for Boarders • We encourage all Pymble community members to download the Australian Government COVIDSafe app • All bathrooms and high-touch areas cleaned three times a day and bins emptied frequently • Fumigators used for nightly deep cleaning • Personal Protective Equipment distributed to all staff • Hygiene reminder signage placed around campus • Classrooms rearranged to separate students • Staff work stations rearranged to separate staff • Classes to take place outdoors where possible • Air conditioning filters cleaned weekly • All doors remain open and lights turned on by security in the morning to avoid using high-touch areas • Health Care Centre to undergo deep cleaning at the end of each day and all HCC areas cleaned/wiped down in between visits.

GOLDEN RULES

• Stay home if you are unwell (refer to COVID-19 symptoms in FAQs); go to your School Office immediately upon feeling unwell • No hugging, kissing or touching other students or staff • No sharing of food or drinks (while some food services will open in a staggered manner in the coming weeks, we ask you to bring your own food and drink) • Girls to remain at arms-length distance from each other at all times • Girls to remain 1.5 metres away from staff • Girls are not to rearrange any desks or College furniture • Girls must follow set rules and directions from staff for common areas, bathrooms, changing rooms, food service venues and classrooms • Cough/sneeze into your elbow or a tissue and dispose of tissues immediately • Wash or sanitise hands after coughing, sneezing, bathroom visits and before eating • Lockers not to be used unless one-off permission is granted by your School Office • Girls must vacate all learning spaces (including libraries) by 4.00pm to allow for daily deep cleaning, unless in After-School Care or in a scheduled co-curricular or practical subject activity • If a girl is found in deliberate breach of essential rules, her parent or carer will be asked to collect her immediately and the student will not be allowed to return to campus for two days.

• We encourage day/local girls to return to campus for face-to-face learning • If a student or a member of the student's household is at a greater risk of a more serious illness if they are infected with COVID-19 (because of an underlying medical condition or age), we strongly encourage you to consider whether a return to campus is appropriate. If your daughter is in this category, please contact our Dean of Students, Ms Lamia Rockwell, to further discuss this matter • Girls who will be absent for a short period of time, due to illness, should follow the normal procedure for catching up on missed work • Girls who will be absent for a long period of time should notify the School Office immediately • Pymble Online will continue in Term 2 for girls who cannot be on campus • Homework Help for girls in Years 7 to 12 will continue online • Parent meetings will be conducted online, however face-to-face meetings by appointment are available in special circumstances • All group gatherings (Chapel Service, Assemblies, Year Group Meetings) will remain online in Term 2.

• Preparatory and Junior School girls may wear their PE tracksuit. • In Week 4 we will be trialling a new dress code in the Secondary School. The wellbeing of our girls is always paramount and we believe that all girls from Kindergarten to Year 12 will feel warmer and more comfortable in their PE tracksuit now that the days are colder and doors and windows are remaining open during class time to promote airflow.If girls don’t wear correct PE uniform during the trial, they will not be given a choice of uniform beyond Week 4. • Uniform rules apply for all of Term 2.

FAQS My daughter has woken up feeling unwell, what should we do? Now, more than ever, students who are feeling unwell (see COVID-19 symptoms below) should stay at home to rest and recover or see a doctor if necessary. Please notify your School Office if your daughter will not be attending school by calling the absentee line below. If I think my daughter has symptoms of COVID-19, what should we do? COVID-19 symptoms include fever, tiredness, dry cough, sore or scratchy throat, aches and pains, nasal congestion, runny nose, shortness of breath and diarrhoea. Children and young people are more likely to have a milder illness, and some may not have any symptoms. If you are at all concerned about your daughter’s health, please see your doctor. • The National Coronavirus Helpline (1800 020 080) is available to call 24 hours a day, seven days a week for further advice. • To find your nearest testing centre in NSW, visit https://www.nsw.gov.au/ covid-19/how-to-protect-yourself-and-others/clinics.

What will happen if my daughter starts to feel ill or appears unwell at school? If any student is unwell at school, they will be sent to the Health Care Centre (HCC) for further assessment via their School Office. Upon arrival at the HCC, if the student is experiencing symptoms compatible with COVID-19 (see above), they will be

isolated on campus in an appropriate place with suitable supervision. Day students with symptoms of COVID-19 must be collected by a parent/carer as soon as possible. For Boarders with symptoms of COVID-19, HCC staff will liaise with Boarding staff.

Can my daughter come to school if we are awaiting COVID-19 test results? Any student who has been tested for COVID-19 must remain in isolation until the test results are confirmed.

What measures are in place for staff who are unwell? Staff members should not come to work if they are feeling unwell. If a staff member becomes unwell while at the College, they are to contact their supervisor, leave immediately and contact the National Coronavirus Helpline (1800 020 080) or their doctor for further advice. Staff are not to attend HCC unless they need urgent medical attention. If a staff member has been tested for COVID-19, they must remain in isolation until test results are confirmed.

What will happen if a student or staff member is diagnosed with COVID-19? If a staff member or student is diagnosed with COVID-19, the College will be contacted by the Department of Health, who will advise next steps. It is likely the school will be shut down for approximately two days to allow for contact tracing and deep cleaning of the campus.

How can my daughter access IT support? Students are asked to send their initial request for help to @Hubbies in Microsoft Teams to reduce the amount of people visiting the IT Hub. A group of IT and learning support staff will then be available to respond to your daughter's questions and arrange any technical support required.

Will the counselling service be available for the girls? Yes. Should you wish for your daughter to see a school Counsellor, please follow the usual process which is to contact the Head of Year in the first instance to discuss her individual situation.

PREPARATORY SCHOOL SCHOOL Hello Girls! I am so excited that I will be seeing you in the Preparatory School one day next week. All the teachers have really enjoyed the work you have been doing on Seesaw and hearing about how you have been feeling and what you have enjoyed. We have seen some wonderful work and very entertaining videos. MyTime has been a favourite and we love that many of your brothers and sisters have enjoyed joining in during PE and Performing Arts lessons. Thank you for the College values you have been showing. We are so proud of you all! Next week, each class will be coming back to school for one day and for the other four days, you will be learning online in the same way you have been doing over the last few weeks. It is important that you remember to bring your iPad and headphones on the day you come to school but you will be taking these home again at the end of the day. Pack light for your day at school and just bring in what you need for the day.

Information for girls from the Head of Preparatory School

From Monday 18 May your Preparatory day will finish a little earlier than usual at 2.30 pm. At this time, teachers will be walking you to carline or to the gates at Grey House Walk and Sufferance Pathway so you can be collected by your parents. If you are waiting for the bus or an older sister, then you will be looked after In the Preparatory Performing Arts room. OSHC girls will be walking to OSHC as usual.

What do I do when I arrive at school?

Your parents will need to use carline and we need you to be helpful and ready to get out of their car by yourself. There will be teachers at carline but they will not be opening the car door or getting your bags out. This is something you will need to do yourself. We know that you will give mum and dad a lovely goodbye before getting out. If you have any trouble, we will be asking your parents to get out of the car to help you but they will need to get straight back in so the carline can move. Once you get out of the car, we will be asking you to sanitise your hands and a teacher will be there to show you how and to help you if needed. There will be hand sanitisers at carline. Only Preparatory girls are allowed to walk down the pathway from carline. If your parent or carer walks you to school through the front entry gate (Sufferance Pathway), or through Grey House Walk, you will need to say goodbye at the gate and use the hand sanitiser before coming down the path to Preparatory School. We will have very special people there to greet you and to walk you down to see your teachers and friends. Please remind your parents and carers to say goodbye as soon as you arrive at the College at the carline or at Grey House Walk or Sufferance Pathway. Teachers will be there to assist you and you will notice some new signs to help everyone remember how we are keeping our community healthy. Once you arrive at school you will notice some other things that are different when you go into your classroom space. You will put your bag next to a special desk with your name on it. This is because the lockers will not be used.

PREPARATORY SCHOOL You will see that your desk has a special pencil case with your name on it, full of new things. How exciting! This is for you to use each day. On the back of your chair you will also see a very special chair bag that is just for you. This is to hold your books, hat and other things that your teacher will share with you. The first day you are at school, your learning will start with a very special message from both Dr Hadwen and Mrs Ahearn about how we are all keeping healthy and safe while also caring for each other. Your teacher will then do the morning check-in before you start your learning for the day.

Where will I be learning? Things are going to be a little bit different for a while. 1. You will be learning in your classroom and have your own pencil case and chair bag for your belongings at your very own desk. Each of you will have your schoolbag under your desk. 2. You will need to listen carefully to your teachers about how we will be moving around the classroom. 3. We will not be doing group work or sitting together on the mat when we are learning in our classrooms. 4. You will stay in your classroom for all your lessons. If space is needed you may be directed by your teacher to move outside for an activity, but this will only be for some lessons like Performing Arts or PE. Remember to listen carefully to what the teachers ask you to do.

What do I wear to school? I am sure you are all very excited that you can come to school in your winter PE uniform. Please remember to wear your full tracksuit and to wear it with pride. You can wear your House shirt or your navy sport shirt with your tracksuit each day. Please remember your Preparatory bucket or PE hat for outside play. This can stay in your chair bag when you go home. How special to have a chair bag! It is important to wear sensible and warm clothes on this day and running shoes are the best shoes for running and playing in the playground.

PREPARATORY SCHOOL Can I use the water bubblers at school? At the moment, we aren’t able to use the water bubblers. It is very important that you always remember to bring your drink bottle to school each day so that you have your own water for Crunch and Sip, Recess and Lunch.

Where can I play when I am at school if it is not raining? Kindergarten: You will be playing in the Lower Courtyard and on the grass area around the sandpit. Year 1: You will be playing in the lower half of the Riverbed. Year 2: You will be playing in the top part of the Riverbed and in the Upper Courtyard spaces. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to open the Library or Equipment at lunchtime.

Where do I play when I am at school if it is raining? If it is raining you will eat at your own special desk, just as if you were in a restaurant! You will then spend the rest of the time during these breaks in your class space and grade areas just like you have always done.

Can I borrow books from the Library? Yes, you can! Our very special Librarian, Mrs Colquhoun, will invite you to borrow books in your normal Library lesson from Week 4 when you are back at school each day. When books are returned, it will take three days before they can go back on the shelves. This is so we all stay healthy. Library lessons, where you can borrow books, will start in Week 4. Remember that the Library will be closed at lunchtime.

Sisters’ Line If you are normally collected by your big sister from the Junior School in Sisters' Line, you will wait for her in the Performing Arts room. She will know that this is where to come to collect you.

PREPARATORY SCHOOL Are we allowed to hug each other? Sadly, we are not able to hug each other or hold hands. It is also important to remember that we arenâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t allowed to share food or belongings. This is to keep us all safe and well, which is very important. We can give each other lots of huge smiles and waves and share kind words because these are really great ways to show each other how much we care and appreciate our teachers and friends.

WEEK 4

When am I on campus in Week 4? We are all back at school each day in Week 4. This means you come to school every day! Your day will be the same as it was when we were all here in Term 1 but please remember to continue bringing your iPad to school with your Diary each day. Some things will be a little different, like sanitising hands regularly and saying goodbye to mum and dad before you come into the Preparatory areas. You will still have your own special pencil cases and chair bags like in Week 3 and you will be playing in the playground spaces as you did in Week 3 but you will be having all your lessons just like in Term 1. How exciting!

Will we still have Chapel and Preparatory Singing? Yes, we will but this will look a little different. Miss Farlow and the Revs are working with Mrs Frater and Mrs Ahearn to make these very special and I cannot wait to share our ideas with you.

What do I wear to school?

Are we allowed to hug each other? Again, just like in Week 3 we need to remember how we keep safe and healthy while also showing care for each other. The important thing to remember is to wash your hands when you use the toilet or go to the bathroom, to sanitise your hands regularly (teachers will remind you throughout the day) and to not share food or belongings. This way we will all show our College values of Care and Responsibility towards each other.

I'm feeling anxious about the return to campus, can you help me? Some girls may be anxious about returning to campus and so our Counselling team has put together an age appropriate video that you might find useful to watch.

PREPARATORY SCHOOL TERM 2 LEARNING Face-to-face teaching and learning has resumed, however those girls whose parents have registered their non-attendance in Term 2 will have access to a modified version of Pymble Online, details of which can be found below. Please note that Pymble Online is for these students only; it is no longer a choice for all girls as it was prior to commencing our Return to Campus plan. Pymble Online will continue for Term 2 only, unless otherwise advised.

Illness during Term 2 If your daughter is unwell and cannot attend her face-to-face lessons or Pymble Online lessons for a short period of time (e.g. one or two days), she should follow normal catch-up procedures with her class teacher(s). Should the College have a confirmed case of COVID-19 and be closed for cleaning, all students will learn via Pymble Online during this period. Likewise, should a community outbreak occur, and the College needs to move students offsite, we will revert to Pymble Online for all students. In the event that any girl or family member in her household has to self-quarantine for 14 days, please advise our Dean of Students, Ms Lamia Rockwell, to arrange access to Pymble Online. If your daughter presents with flu-like symptoms at school, she will be assessed by our Health Care nurses. If our nurses recommend that your daughter should not be attending class, you will be requested to collect her. Upon her return to school, your daughter should be free of these symptoms and you will be required to present a medical clearance to the Preparatory School Office.

PREPARATORY SCHOOL • Pymble Online students will have opportunity each week to interact with their current class group. It is anticipated that this may take place following Assembly to ensure all students remain connected to their class peers and their Connect teacher. • Pymble Online students will engage in Live Events for weekly Assemblies, fortnightly Preparatory Singing and Preparatory Chapel.

Learning via Pymble Online • Preparatory School students learning from home will be moved out of their usual class and into the Pymble Online class (outlined below). Pymble Online with be delivered by designated teachers for each year level. Teachers will be working closely with the grade team to parallel the intention of learning experiences; however, Pymble Online will continue as per the current online timetable. • Pymble Online in the Preparatory School is being supported by the following staff during Term 2: - Kindergarten: Mrs Amanda Broadfoot - Year 1: Miss Kavindri Fernando - Year 2: Mrs Katie Barten • Mrs Heidi Lynch will transition over the coming weeks to Connect teacher of KB as Mrs Kathryn Edwards returns to her position of Preparatory School Learning Support Teacher. • Pymble Online teachers will conduct the morning welcome and check-in and respond to Seesaw and Team activities submitted by students. • Specialist lessons will continue as per the Pymble Online timetable and will be planned by Preparatory School specialists.

You need to sanitise your hands as you get out of your car and arrive on campus. There will be hand sanitisers available at Flagpole. You do not need to be at school until 8.25am in Week 3 as we will start school at 8.30am. You will need to wait in the area outside your Connect classroom for the start of the day. The Library will not be open in the mornings. You will go to your Connect room at 8.25am for the start of the day. We will start the day with an Assembly at 8.30am. You will listen to it online. Your teacher will give you the link to this Assembly. This will just be a short, but very important Assembly so we can welcome you back and talk through a few things to keep us all safe and healthy back at school together.

Where will I be learning? • You will be learning in your Connect room and stay at the same desk for your lessons. You will have your schoolbag under your desk. You can use your tote tray if you need to, but you cannot use your locker. • You can move classroom for Literacy groups and Numeracy groups. • We will not be doing group work when we are learning in our classrooms at the moment. • You will stay in your Connect room for your specialist lessons. Specialist lessons will be online learning in Week 3.

What do I wear to school? I am sure you are all very excited that you can come to school in your winter PE uniform. Please remember to wear your full tracksuit and to wear it with pride. Please remember your bucket hat for playtimes. Year 6, you are extra lucky in Week 3 as you are coming to school on Friday and you get to wear mufti! What a fabulous way to return to school!

PREPARATORY SCHOOL Can I use the water bubblers at school? At the moment, the water bubblers are closed. You therefore need to remember to bring your own water bottle which you can refill during the day at school.

Can I borrow books from the Library? Yes, you can! Our fabulous Librarian Mrs Itzcovitz will quarantine books once theyâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ve been returned for three days just to make sure we all stay healthy, so there may be a delay in borrowing books. The Library will be closed at lunchtime in Week 3 and Week 4.

TERM 2 LEARNING Face-to-face teaching and learning has resumed, however those girls whose parents have registered their non-attendance in Term 2 will have access to a modified version of Pymble Online, details of which can be found below. Please note that Pymble Online is for these students only; it is no longer a choice for all girls as it was prior to commencing our Return to Campus plan. Pymble Online will continue for Term 2 only, unless otherwise advised. Some of our Connect teachers are going to be teaching Pymble Online. JUNIOR SCHOOL If your daughter presents with flu-like symptoms at school, she will be assessed by our Health Care nurses. If our nurses recommend that your daughter should not be attending class, you will be requested to collect her. Upon her return to school, your daughter should be free of these symptoms and you will be required to present a medical clearance to the Junior School Office.

Wellbeing via Pymble Online • Only students who are unable to return to campus due to extenuating circumstances will continue with Pymble Online. • Pymble Online teachers will become the first point of contact for online students and liaise closely with each student’s current Connect teacher. • Pymble Online students will have the opportunity each week to interact with their current class group. On Monday morning they will connect with their Connect class via Microsoft Teams and will then join the Junior School Assembly in Period 1. It is anticipated that there will be other opportunities during the week for Pymble Online students to connect with the students learning on campus. This is to ensure all students remain connected to their class peers and their Connect teacher. • Pymble Online students will engage in Live Events for weekly Junior School Assemblies, Religion lessons led by our Head of Junior School, Mrs Kate Brown, and Deputy Head of Junior School, Mrs Anna Plant, and Chapel.

Learning via Pymble Online • Junior School students learning from home will be moved out of their usual class and into the Pymble Online class (outlined below). Pymble Online with be delivered by designated teachers for each year level. Teachers will be working closely with the grade team to parallel the intention of learning experiences; however, Pymble Online will continue as per the current online timetable. This will be shared with the girls by the Pymble Online teacher on Monday May 18, Week 4. • Pymble Online is being supported by the following staff during Term 2: - Year 3: Mrs Chantelle Durrant - Year 4: Mrs Jane Worthington

What will be the same? • You can see your friends and staff in person (Yay!). • You will move from class to class following your timetable. • When on campus, your timetable and lesson length will be a normal five-period day with recess and lunch breaks. • We will have Connect in person.  • MOOCs will continue although there may be some time changes that the relevant co-ordinator will share with you directly. • You will have the option to wear your full PE tracksuit every day to school OR your full winter uniform. Please note that the full PE tracksuit includes navy blue tracksuit pants and the red, white and navy Pymble tracksuit top – hoodies or branded garments (including leggings) are not allowed. • If girls don’t wear correct PE uniform during the trial, they will not be given a choice of uniform beyond Week 4. • Your allocated area for recess and lunch is Gloucester Lawn for Year 7 students and the Sunken Courtyard and Lower Colonnade area for Year 8 students. This is also where you should go if you arrive to campus early. • You are not permitted to spend lunch and recess inside classrooms unless it is wet. • In the event of wet weather, Year 7 will go to the Gillian Moore Centre for Performing Arts (GMCPA) Foyer and Theatre and Year 8 will go to DK2-10 and C2-C10. • The regular Pymble bus services will be running from Week 3.

PREPARATORY SCHOOL What will be different? • When using public transport and moving about the school, be mindful to avoid touching railings and other high-touch areas/fittings. • There will be sanitiser stations at the various entrance points to the College and in classrooms and offices. Please use them. • There will be no access to lockers during Week 3 or Week 4. Pack light! Leave valuables at home or hand them into the Office for safe keeping. Bags will need to be kept with you throughout the day. • No Boarders’ lunches or cafés will be available in Week 3. Our Middle School Lunch on the Run program, which involves pre-ordered sandwiches and fruit will be available, however, you are advised to bring your own food and drink. • Bring a water bottle as bubblers will be closed. Water filling stations will be available. • You are asked to strictly adhere to social distancing. This will be challenging, particularly for the huggers among us, but it is one of the conditions of a safe return to campus. Wherever possible, you are asked to maintain safe distance from anyone else on campus. Desks will be spaced in rooms, please don't move them. • Please also remember the importance of maintaining social distance with staff members. • If you see a cleaner, say thank you! They are working tirelessly to keep us all safe. • If you have an appointment, you will sign out at the Office as usual, but your parents will need to collect you from Flagpole. • Please remember that if you are unwell you need to stay at home in order to help protect everyone.

PREPARATORY SCHOOL Learning via Pymble Online • Teachers will live stream classroom lessons via Microsoft Teams for Secondary School girls learning via Pymble Online. • Teachers will continue to record lessons through Microsoft Teams so students can watch the recording if they are in a different time zone or if the internet is not working at the time of the lesson. • Teachers will offer to spend time each week with Pymble Online students via Microsoft Teams to fill in any gaps or answer questions if necessary (this may be done in a group if there are multiple students in one online class). • Students should continue to submit work for feedback and contact their teacher via Microsoft Teams or email if they need help outside of normal timetabled lessons. • Science in Years 7 to 10 will involve the use of scheduled class time plus additional tutorials to support students through an online version of the curriculum that best accommodates scientific learning. So, what does this mean for you? WEEK 3 You will be learning online at home each day with 4 x 45-minute periods as you have been doing this term, except Friday for Year 9 and Thursday for Year 10. On Thursday/Friday we'd love to see you all on campus (if possible) for a four-period day of face-to-face learning in your usual classes. During your fifth 'Study period', you will be supervised in Connect groups (classroom to be advised). At the start of period 1, we will have a brief Upper School Assembly. This is to allow for a daily thorough cleaning process. • Please do not use the Cisco Room, the seminar rooms in the Kate Mason Building or the Conde Library. CATERING • No Boarders’ lunches or cafés will be available Week 3. We are exploring expanding the Middle School Lunch on the Run program, which involves pre-ordered sandwiches and fruit; however, you are advised to bring your own food and drink.

SENIOR SCHOOL • The sandwich toastie machines and microwaves will not be available in the Senior School Lounge to avoid large crowds building up. • Bring a water bottle. Our water bubblers will be closed but water filling stations will be available. • Year 11 girls will have the option to wear their full PE tracksuit every day to school or their full winter uniform. • Year 12 girls will have the option to wear their full PE tracksuit with their jersey or their full winter uniform. • You are asked to strictly adhere to social distancing. This will be challenging, particularly for the huggers among us, but it is one of the conditions of a safe return to campus. • Wherever possible you are asked to maintain safe distance from anyone else on campus. Furniture will be spaced in rooms and common areas, please don't move anything. • Please also remember the importance of maintaining social distance with staff members. • If you see a cleaner, say thank you! They are working tirelessly to keep us all safe. • If you have an appointment, you will sign out at the Office as usual, but your parents will need to collect you from Gate 3. • For those of you unable to be on campus, online learning options will remain available. • If you have any questions, please post them below and I'll answer them ASAP.

PREPARATORY SCHOOL TERM 2 LEARNING Senior girls whose parents have registered their non-attendance in Term 2 will have access to a modified version of Pymble Online, details of which can be found below. Please note that Pymble Online is for these students only; it is no longer a choice for all girls as it was prior to commencing our Return to Campus plan. Pymble Online will continue for Term 2 only, unless otherwise advised. Should the College have a confirmed case of COVID-19 and be closed for cleaning, all students will learn via Pymble Online during this period. Likewise, should a community outbreak occur and the College needs to move students offsite, we will revert to Pymble Online for all students.

Illness during Term 2 If your daughter is unwell and cannot attend her face-to-face lessons or Pymble Online lessons for a short period of time (e.g. one or two days), she should rest and recover and then follow normal catch-up procedures with her class teacher(s) when she is well again. In the event that any girl or family member in her household has to self-quarantine for 14 days, please advise our Dean of Students, Ms Lamia Rockwell, to arrange access to Pymble Online.

Wellbeing via Pymble Online • Only students who are unable to return to campus due to extenuating circumstances will continue with Pymble Online. • The wellbeing of our girls and keeping them connected to our Pymble family remains our priority. • Girls in Years 11 to 12 who are learning via Pymble Online will remain with their current Connect group and class teachers. This will ensure that they stay connected to their peers, teachers and House in order to keep a strong sense of spirit and identity. Students will join in for Connect and House activities with their Connect group and Connect teacher once a week via Microsoft Teams. They will also engage in Live Events for Combined Assemblies, Chapel services and their relevant Year Assembly.

SENIOR SCHOOL Learning via Pymble Online • Teachers will live stream classroom lessons via Microsoft Teams for Senior girls learning via Pymble Online. • Teachers will continue to record lessons through Microsoft Teams so students can watch the recording if they are in a different time zone or if the internet is not working at the time of the lesson. • Teachers will offer to spend time each week with Pymble Online students via Microsoft Teams to fill in any gaps or answer questions if necessary (this may be done in a group if there are multiple students in one online class). • Students should continue to submit work for feedback and contact their teacher via Microsoft Teams or email if they need help outside of normal timetabled lessons. PREPARATORY BOARDING SCHOOL Hello Girls! We are so excited at the prospect of welcoming our Boarders back to campus. It’s just not the same without you! Over the next few days we will be welcoming back some of our Year 12 Boarders, followed by the opportunity for our Years 7 to 11 girls to return in the weeks to come. Some of you will decide to continue learning at home. Your lessons will be live streamed and recorded for later access. You will be assigned an onsite buddy in your class, who can be your advocate and conduit to the teacher, to ensure you can communicate in real time. You will have priority access to our Learn It program during your usual ‘prep’ time.

What does it mean for you? This is a big decision for you and your families. While the threat posed by COVID-19 has been reduced by the Government restrictions and the ‘lockdown’ period, it has not been removed and we must continue to be cautious in our approach. While we are doing everything we can to minimise risk, Boarding is still considered a high-risk environment. This means that we have made changes to our processes and practices. We will all be required to meet recommendations for physical distancing and we will be strict and vigilant with our hygiene processes. We need to limit opportunities for you to come in contact with the virus and this means that there will be no offsite leave unless it is with your parents.

What will be the same? Our beautiful House staff and many of your Boarding sisters cannot wait to see you. Our Academic Tutors will be back in full force and ready to support you after school in your learning.

BOARDING You will be able to enjoy our beautiful grounds and have the opportunity to reacquaint yourselves with the swings and bikes (freshly sanitised for your arrival)! You will have increased access to our amazing College facilities as they open up in line with Government recommended guidelines. Our online Love It program will continue and our Boardersâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; Team will remain a great way to connect. Boarding will continue to be your home away from home (wherever you are), filled with love, laughter and friendship. We will here ready and waiting for your return.
