Lewis Parks Berry: All Thanks To God Lewis Parks Berry is a former Navy Lieutenant, a former South Carolina Junior Champion bodybuilder, a longtime licensed soccer coach, and has had a successful career as a licensed Investment Adviser. But he knows that all credit for these and other accomplishments go to God, without whom he could not have succeeded in life.

Lewis Parks Berry entered the Navy in 1990 after graduating from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, where he received degrees in English and Engineering. He was initially stationed in Annapolis at the Academy as the Strength and Conditioning Assistant Coach for the football team, and as the Assistant Goalkeeper coach for the soccer team. In 1991 Lewis Parks Berry was sent to the Naval Supply Corps School in Athens, Georgia, where he received a degree in Leadership Management, Supply Management, Retail Operations, and Disbursing/Accounting Management. After graduating from the NSCS he was awarded the billet of Disbursing Officer, Naval Supply Depot, Subic Bay, RP. "Shortly after arriving in country, Mount Pinatubo erupted and destroyed Clark Air Force Base and much of the Naval Supply Depot," Lewis Parks Berry recalled. It was the second largest volcanic eruption of the Twentieth Century, discharging millions of tons of sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere and killing some eight hundred people. The eruption in June 1991 was the climactic event of nearly a years' worth of earthquakes and aftershocks in the region. Clark Air Force Base was evacuated several days before the volcano. Lewis Parks Berry received an Achievement Medal for Superior Performance above and beyond the call of duty for managing the full monetary accountability of over $50 Million in U.S. Treasury checks and cash for the support of ships of the 7th Fleet. "Following this successful tour of duty, I was allowed to choose my next duty station: The USS Frank Cable, AS-40, out of Charleston, South Carolina," Lewis Parks Berry says. The USS Frank Cable is an Emory S. Land-class submarine tender. "I was again given the billet of Disbursing Officer. After being ranked #1 of 13 Supply Officers in my Division for superior performance in the discharge of my duties, I was promoted to The Nuclear Submarine Supply Assistance Team despite only being a Lieutenant in a Lieutenant Commander billet. I left the Navy in June of 1994 after serving my service obligation commensurate with my education at the United States Naval Academy." After a successful career in the private sector that saw him earn Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 Investment Adviser licenses, Lewis Parks Berry was saved by Jesus Christ, and was reborn in mind, body and spirit. He gives the credit for all of his achievements in life to God, without whom he could not have had any success.
