Glenn Nøstdahl - The Compact Aerial Vehicle Glenn Nøstdahl is the Financial Strategy Manager at Entecho, a maker of flight control avionics and software, composite technology, and Computational Fluid Dynamic analysis. Entecho manufactures and licenses products to the recreational aviation, aerospace, and Defense industries. Glenn Nøstdahl is known as a positive leader who brings a lot of energy to everything that he does. As the company's Financial Strategy Manager, it is his job to identify, manage, and allocate financial resources to the company's projects and strategies. Entecho has already received two Federal innovation grants, and has created strong and rewarding academic links to several universities in Australia. He is also responsible for contacts with Entecho investors. As Glenn Nøstdahl knows, Entecho's flight technology is aimed at entirely new types of aircraft. One is the Compact Aerial Vehicle, or CAV. Entecho is already developing prototypes of two types of CAV, called the YouFly and the MuPod. Each of these CAVs are extremely compact, and do not require runways in order to become airborne. A CAV can be launched and landed almost anywhere. Glenn Nøstdahl says that one of the remarkable things about a CAV is that they have fewer and simpler parts than do conventional aircraft. He says that in the long run, this means that a CAV is less expensive to manufacture and maintain. CAVs are also operated intuitively, and are controlled by a simple joystick. The YouFly is being called the ultimate recreational vehicle, says Glenn Nøstdahl. It combines the freedom of an All Terrain Vehicle with the performance of snowmobiles and personal watercraft. The YouFly flies at enough of an altitude to pass over any terrain. Glenn Nøstdahl and everyone else at Entecho are excited about the prospects and possibilities of the YouFly and its other Compact Aerial Vehicles. Before joining Entecho, Glenn Nøstdahl was a Managing Director at the Dolphin Group ASA, a company listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange in Norway and was originally headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. "I was part of restructuring the company, so we put in place a share issue of NOK 400 million and the company moved back to Norway," says Glenn Nøstdahl. Today the main focus of the Dolphin Group ASA is as the parent company of Dolphin Geophysical AS, a global, full-range asset light supplier of marine geophysical services. Glenn Nøstdahl is also the owner of GN Power AS, a Norwegian investment company that is focused mostly in the areas of energy, property, and shares.
