John F. “Sandy” Smith Womble Carlyle: Senior Partner John F. “Sandy” Smith of Womble Carlyle is a Senior Partner in the Corporate and Securities Group. He has a depth of experience advising boards of directors and management in matters of corporate governance, independent director duties, ethics, and fiduciary duties. As a business lawyer he is also skilled in tax law, intellectual property, real estate, sales, employment law, bankruptcy and other issues.
