Pontoon boats are also known for being one of the slowest types of boat because it lacks proper aero-dynamics and is more designed for the aforementioned purposes.

Sail Boats Given their intensive nature, sail boats are the most difficult boats to navigate. Being a skilled sailor takes experience and knowledge of how to navigate wind patterns and maintain the functions of a sail or set of sails. But once you gain those abilities, sailing can be quite the pleasure. It can be therapeutic even, as focusing on the direction of your craft can distract you from the worries of onshore issues and the salty mist can clean you of them, making sailing a very refreshing and fulfilling activity.

Sport Boats When you start talking about sports boats, you are talking about entering the category of fast motor boats. Sports decks are about the halfway point between a speed boat and a pontoon boat. They have the accommodating and communal aspect of a pontoon boat, while also boasting strong engines that can make the boat go just about as fast as many would want to go. Sports boats are also excellent for recreational activities such as wakeboarding, water skiing, tubing, fishing and many more. Sports boats are the most versatile type of boat, says William Gholson, because you could use them for recreation, entertainment and island hopping all at the same time if you wanted to.
