FRASER EXPLORER TOUR 2 DAYS Discover World Heritage Listed Fraser Island’s diverse landscapes on a two-day 4WD off-roading adventure. Sit back and relax in air-conditioned comfort and let the expert guide navigate the sand tracks as you explore the islands must see attractions.
Day 2: Eli Creek via Indian Head to Hervey Bay (BL) Enjoy breakfast before setting off to explore Eli Creek. After a quick swim in the shallow waters, travel to The Pinnacles Coloured Sands and learn the legend of their creation.
Day 1: Hervey Bay to Fraser Island (LD) Travel from Hervey Bay to River Heads for the barge crossing to the Wanggoolba Creek, landing on Fraser Island. On arrival, journey to Fraser’s ancient rainforests and giant King ferns at Wanggoolba Creek and Central Station, before driving along the Seventy Five Mile Beach ocean highway.
Climb Indian Head for the magnificent views of the great sand dunes and a point for viewing Fraser’s marine life swimming by in the water below. Swim in the Champagne Pools, a natural ocean jacuzzi and enjoy a photo stop at the famous Maheno Shipwreck. Board the barge for the return trip to River Heads.
Cool off in the clear blue waters of Lake McKenzie, the island’s most photographed location. Trek over Hammerstone Sandblow and swim in emerald-green Lake Wabby. Overnight at Eurong Beach Resort.
