Why Exhibit? With wealth derived from substantial oil and natural gas reserves, and no personal taxation, the Arabian Gulf state of Qatar enjoys the highest per capita GDP (US$75,000) in the Arab World. Today, Qatar exploits its wealth for economic and social transformation, strengthening links between local and international markets, supporting $130 billion worth of projects and becoming a conduit for global companies to access $1 trillion of investment during the next decade. Qatar invests heavily in the private and public sectors to

create a long term “knowledge economy”. Qatar Science & Technology Park serves the world’s pioneering technology-based companies, Qatar Foundation has established Education City, home to world class academic establishments and the Qatari government’s commitment to sports and health development and a healthy population is the equal of any country. Hamad Medical Corporation is committed to ensuring that healthcare for the population of Qatar is equal to the much applauded healthcare of countries such as the USA.

It aims to provide this by ensuring that medical staff delivering care are well educated, trained and committed to continuous improvement through scientific activities such as Q-MEDEC. It also aims to ensure that the competent, quick and accurate diagnosis of disease and illness is supported with the latest technologies, treatments and therapies. In addition, involvement of the public in caring for general health and well-being is strongly encouraged and supported. In addition to its commitment to education and high quality

medical care, Hamad Medical Corporation is also in the process of expansion and development of existing health provision. New hospitals are in various stages of planning and completion. There is already a growing demand to equip and staff these developments meaning that exhibitors will never have a better opportunity to make known their products and services. This pattern of growth and development is also mirrored, to varying extent, in other areas of the region and representatives from many of those areas are expected to be in attendance at this groundbreaking event.
