The ANOC Senior Vice President and QOC President H.E. Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani attended the ANOC 87th Executive Council Meeting held in Madrid, Spain. The meeting was attended by ANOC President H.E Dr. Robin Mitchell and ANOC Executive Council members . The meeting discussed a number of current issues and put solutions in place to keep progress of the Olympic movement. Attendees reviewed the means of boosting Olympic solidarity between NOCs and how to raise up the level of awareness about the importance of making sustainability applicable during the organization of the sport events.

Ooredoo announced the signing of a new sponsorship agreement with Al Duhail SC, one of the most prominent sporting clubs in Qatar.
