PUNK CONSOLE CIRCUIT
Logic Noise: Oscillator Sound Physical System
Sound is a form of energy transmitted as waves.
Sound is mainly generated by vibrations or oscillations.
Electronics/ Logic System Electronic Synthesizer/ Organ
Waves are transformed into pulses/ square signal of variable widths. Sound pitch and loudness is controlled by keyboard & tuners.

Variable Resistors RC
The main part of the synthesizer that turns DC electricity into an oscillating signal.
Analog synthesizer mainly use CMOS ICs for the oscillator stage.

Oscillator
Soft Force Sensitive Resistor
Touching the Resistor â—?
The oscillator is controlled by a force sensing resistor.
The resistor is made from Velostat and Conductive Tape/ Fabric.
đ&#x;˜
â—?
With conductive tip, material will result in pitchy tones due to the decrease in the resistance. With ďŹ nger tips, will result in low tones due to the high resistance of the body.
Summary â—? â—? â—?
The resistance DeďŹ nes the pitch of the tone. Pitches are controlled by the speed of the oscillation. For punk console circuit, the second potentiometer is replaced with soft components to control the output sound. This is due to the fact that, each oscillator output is feeding into the other’s trigger pin, so you can control the sound by touch the other.
