He imagines it his sanctuary: when parked there, he supposes he cannot be hurt…So it is, borrowing the term, that one can speak of one’s ‘querencia’ to mean that little, unspecified area in life’s arena where one feels safe, serene.

The Querencia Speaker Series program welcomes influential artists, authors and leaders of thought to our 2,000-acre, 5-star private community in Los Cabos to experience sun-soaked Mexican hospitality, limitless adventure and connection. Idyllic high sierra desert and seascapes are the backdrop as Speaker Series inspire, educate, challenge and offer fresh perspectives to the Querencia community. Here, your passions, your performances, your words, are welcome.

Querencia is alive . An active and vibrant community focused on the mind, body and spirit connection, Querencia combines outdoor recreation, community, a zest for life and life-long learning in an environment known for its dramatic and inspiring beauty. The Querencia Speaker Series program was created to expand and affirm our commitment to extend our Members’ sense of Querencia as a community. As an aesthetic, artistic and intellectual component, the program excites the senses and promotes understanding and respect for a multiplicity of viewpoints.

Speakers will be in residence for an agreed period of time and will lead a lecture, workshop and/or discussions – or curate a combination of these offerings, in small, intimate and/or large group settings with our Querencia Members acting as learners or full-on participants /creators. Depending on the speaker, there may be an opportunity for participants to help shape both the content and the format of the offering. (In such cases, a “pre-experience” will be offered to cultivate Members’ interest and engagement.)
