Exhibitions, guest lectures and artist talks are programmed across our gallery spaces with exhibition opportunities for students, staff and external exhibitors. ‘O’ Week
Shandong/QCA: Celebrating 15 years of Teaching and Learning An artistic and cultural celebration of the relationship between Shandong University of Arts and Griffith University, presenting 80 artworks including paintings, prints, watercolours and other media, created by staff and postgraduate students from both institutions. This exhibition is presented as part of the Brisbane City Council BrisAsia Festival.

Indonesian performance artist Jumaadi presents: Walking Shadow During O Week, QCA will be hosting Indonesian/Australian artist Jumaadi, culminating in a collaborative performance between incoming students and the artist. Jumaadi’s practice incorporates sculpture, drawing, painting and performance including traditional wayang shadow puppetry set to gamalan music. QCA Galleries provide opportunities for students to gain professional experience by being part of our team of volunteers. Volunteering roles include gallery attendance, installation and demount of exhibitions, opening and closing events and a range of other opportunities. Paid casual work is occasionally offered for our most dedicated and committed volunteers. Students also have the opportunity to sit on the QCA Galleries Committee.
