Bali - Ubud QCCP Photography Workshop based in Ubud, Bali September 7-12 2012 Photography Tutors. Mike Langford and Jackie Ranken Tour Leader- Dave Metcalf Support Team - Take it Easy Tours The images in this book have been selected from twelve photographers. We were all in the same places at the same time and yet our images all quite different. This makes the book all the more interesting as each of us expresses ‘what we see’ and the combined voice is lauder than an individual on their own. Places we photographed were: The Taman Pule Temple, The Gunung Kawi Temple, a very peaceful place with magnificent views over terraced rice fields. The Tirta Empul Temple (holy water temple) This temple dates back to its origins of prayer and ceremony and is over 1,000 years old. Goa Gajah Temple (Elephant cave). Fishing village of Kusamba, with salt farmer. The dances we photographed were, The Wayang Dance, the Rajang Dance and Kecak Dance. Festivals: Kuningan Festival. The Balinese believe the Gods come down from the mountains at this time and the festival honours the opportunity to say thank you and at the appropriate time, farewell. www.qccp.co.nz +6434090272 info@qccp.co.nz All images are © to the individual photographers.
