EL TORO BRUTO EXPANDS

Resident Culture’s beloved taco-joint has expanded their menu and their services.

What started as a beloved taco pop-up has now become a full-fledged dinner concept. El Toro Bruto, located in Resident Culture in South End, officially launched their expanded dinner menu. The restaurant offers a full-service dine-in experience for guests.

“Since the space transforms throughout the day and the seasons, we saw the opportunity to also transform our culinary services and offer a full-service experience,” Chef Hector González-Mora explains. “We value the talent in our kitchen and so do our customers, so extending our offerings is the clear way forward.”

Since early 2022, Chef Gonzalez-Mora has brought delicious Mexican fare to Resident Culture patrons in the form of all-day tacos, breakfast tacos, nachos, and late-night features.

His new expanded menu will have a familiar feel but will focus on concept driven dishes with authentic Mexican flavors. The new menu will offer a variety of appetizers, entrees, and sides. Some of the new offerings include: Tamarind Glazed Fish, Char-Grilled Ribeye, and Gallina al Pastor. And if you’re a big fan of their tacos, don’t worry, they’ll still be available too!

“This menu extension will be familiar, as it will have an emphasis on deeply rooted Mexican flavors like our current offerings. But in an approach that keeps the options new and seasonal,” Chef González-Mora says.

According to the brewers at Resident Culture, several of their beers pair well with the unique flavors of the new menu. They recommend trying their Mexican lager “Island Time” or their sour beer made in collaboration with The Royal Tot called “Tropical Tryst.”

“We want to be the go-to spot for Mexican food in South End.”

Dinner service will be available by reservation or walk-in from 4:30-9 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and from 4:30-10 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. El Toro Bruto will still offer their beloved walk-up counter service as well as self-seating from 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Sunday. They will also continue late-night from 10:30 p.m. - 2 a.m. Friday - Saturday.
