WELCOME TO SCHAAKE FARMS FRIENDS, We would be honored to have you as our guest on November 29, 2015 for the fifth edition of the Schaake Farms Heritage Sale. After our sale last year, we wondered if we could continue to move the bar up for quality and customer success. There is no doubt this set has exceeded our expectations, and we hope you and your family are able to join us for this great tradition. Our goal has never changed – we aim to produce seed stock cattle that are sound, functional and display genetic excellence. The best way to achieve this is to pay attention to detail and to build around successful cow families. As this breed continues to prosper, it is a great opportunity for us to welcome new breeders. With this comes new ideas, innovation and a chance for breeders to select cattle that meet their market needs and goals. Building a cow herd with the right kind of genetics and phenotype can happen at this event. Each year we offer the very best show and donor prospects and hold nothing back. Again this year, we are offering a select group of hand-picked females from loyal customers. These cattle carry SFI genetics and we think they are an exciting addition to this line up of future champions and donors. We look forward to seeing each of you on sale day. Please bring your family, enjoy lunch and attend a snappy sale. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. If you cannot attend our sale and wish to bid, feel confident to contact our consultants or bid online with LiveAuctions.TV. Sincerely,

THE SCHAAKE FAMILY

BELOVED COW FAMILY SFI BELOVED N13D As seedstock breeders we all strive for perfection and once in a while, we are blessed to achieve that goal. SFI MISS BELOVED N13D was well ahead of her time. Her influence is found throughout many herds across North America. Because of her age she is beginning to slow down, so consider these first three lots as real treasures.

SFI MISS EROS Beloved daughter. Purchased by the Johnson Family in our 2014 Heritage Sale. Grand Champion Simmental and 5th Overall Heifer at the 2015 Illinois State Fair Junior Show.

Donor time! A unique pedigree that will be hard to replicate paired with a flawless skeleton and body shape. It is so difficult to breed one with this kind of power and to preserve the soundness of underpinning like you will find in SFI LOVE ME PLEASE. I keep thinking about all the mating options this one has and ask myself why would I part with her. The sky is the limit. Lot 2 The talk of the Southeastern Regional Show in Springfield, Missouri, this past summer was SFI MISS MY TIME C13A and her mother when they were selected as the Grand Champion Cow-Calf Pair. Here is a great example of “mother-like-daughter” and there is a world of opportunity ahead of her. I love the challenge of breeding great purebreds and I guarantee you will not find many that have the same perfect rib shape, hip and rear leg structure that is built into this one.

This heifer was acquired really late and I think the upside for her is incredible. Very few are built as sound with that “killer” look that is needed to be remembered in the show ring. At this point the only thing she needs is time and feed, and the final product will be outstanding. Did I mention she has the personality of a sweetheart?! She’s also genetically very similar to the popular heifer the Reitzenstein Family showed two years ago.

Momma cow deluxe! The former Junior National Champion, SFI MISS HOLLY, was mated to one of the hottest sires in the breed with the thought of producing the next herd sire. Instead, the females of this mating are simply incredible, and this may prove to be one of the most consistent flushes ever produced by our donor lineup. The PVF INSIGHT 0129 x Simmental mating will prove to be a smart decision in 2016. The lucky buyer gets choice of these two picture perfect females. Both are stamped with quality, a look of femininity and running gear underneath that is built for the long haul. I think about these two heifers as heavy breds next fall and the kind of damage they will do in the show ring. Better yet, as cows they have an incredible breeding value.
