Welcome to our second Female Auction and sixth year of selling females Labor Day Weekend. Being part of our team is just that EXCITING! We love being part of a winning team as I am sure you do.Winning in our mind is much more than purple ribbons and pictures in front of the backdrop. Don’t get me wrong, we want to win as bad as anyone at the shows, but being part of our winning team is different for each of our customers. *Ashlee Corns, Eureka, KS had her share of success this year with TFCC Brylor Isabella 24Y, including Reserve Futurity Heifer NAJRAE winning $1000. Beyond that she raised the Champion Commercial heifer at NAJRAE 2012 with a Huckleberry daughter out of her Limousin Show Heifer she showed a few years back. *Rush Red Angus, Jasper, MO. Long time friends and partners who have been about as big of a Huckleberry fan as anyone. They sold RRSH Cold Stone half interest for $12,000 after he was division Champion at NWSS 2012.They have sold several Huckleberry offspring and their customers have been equally as pleased. *Abbey Ivey sold a flush on Lakina for $3,500 in Ft.Worth. Lakina had an incredibly successful show career including Champion Red Angus at the State Fair of Texas 2010; Lakina was purchased in Red Sunday 2009 for $2,025. *The Jason Locke Family, Stockton, MO purchased JKC Cash Advance (Huckleberry’s maternal brother) and the boys raised and exhibited several offspring at NAJRAE. Now they have saved some replacements that they are very pleased with. *5-L Livestock,Walton, KS Nathan purchased JKC Berry Princess 20W in 2009, raised 5-L The Duke who won Reserve Division at NAJRAE 2012. He also sold a flush out of her in Mulberry Mayhem for nearly the purchase price of her as a heifer calf. I could share several more stories with you, but I only have so much room in the catalog. The Lord has truly blessed us with great friends, customers, and cattle that make this business so much fun. Our goal is for you to find success on our winning team. Since we have had two years of less than ideal rain fall, it has made us evaluate what cattle are making the winning team a success. They must breed back and produce cattle that will work for you.Whether you have one heifer or 1000 cows we want your purchases to help you achieve your goals. We want you to get a bigger return on your investment in a shorter period of time. If there is a way we can help you do that – please let us know. We are also a marketing representative for Brylor Semen Sales, please let us know how we can accommodate your semen needs. We feel so blessed to be in such a strong beef market. There are a strong set of females available. Feel free to stop by anytime to look at the sale cattle and the herd! Thank you for all your support and friendship.

Selling Choice Lots Lot 1 We are only offering two Mak’n Waves daughters in the sale, so pay attention. Truly one of the pasture favorites this girl is a looker. Not only will she turn heads in the show ring, but if she turns out anything like her sisters or mom she will be your next donor.
One of the good cows we purchased out of the Oates Land and Cattle dispersal has been a great producer for us. Her daughter sold as a bred heifer last year from Rush’s to Jeff Nattier for $4400. Her daughters and granddaughters, Lots 1, 3, and 4 truly show you what she is capable of producing and how valuable she can be in your herd. That is why we are selling choice of her and her Waves heifer calf, we cannot afford to lose both of them! She is bred back to Mak’n Waves. There is currently no frozen Waves semen in the US so here is your chance to obtain the great genetics.

This is a female Nathan Lanier purchased a few years ago in Red Sunday out of Lot 2 – P92. She is bred to JKC Fireman 29X. Fireman is a Huckleberry son who I think looks an awful lot like his dad and out of a Payload cow that is also the mother of Nathan’s good Mulberry cow JKC Berry Princess 20W that won several banners for him. This bred female is great in her lines with plenty of body and very structurally correct. The genetic mating of the expected calf is sure to be a winner.

This female is extremely deep sided and long bodied; she stands down on a nice foot. I think Fireman will give the calf some extra muscle and look. Don’t miss out on a great bred heifer. Expected calf is sure to be a winner.

Being part of the winning team sometimes means you have to make personal sacrifices for the team to succeed. I think that is what we are doing here, by offering half interest in one of our best cows. Deuces was Reserve Division at NWSS 2007. She raised a $5000 New Trend heifer that sold to Wildcat Creek in 2010, and she calved again in November with a bull calf. She was with the bull 23 days after she calved, got bred she produced two calves in the same year. If only they were all that efficient. We flushed her after that and that is why she has a June heifer calf at side by Sequoia. We displayed this pair at the Beef Profit Alliance in Manhattan a few weeks ago. I cannot count the number of people who were impressed by how beautiful her udder is. The Simmental breeders were especially impressed by her muscle, moderate frame and soundness. I heard several times that is a great cow. She sells open and ready to flush. Deuces will remain in our possession, and we will assume all expenses when she is at our place. All flushing costs and expenses away from the ranch will be split 50/50 with the new partner. SELLING HALF INTEREST

Dolly is truly impressive all in her own right. If you are looking for a heifer to put you on the winning team for next show season, look no farther. We realize she is not the “ideal” age, since she is a June. However, when one is this good it doesn’t matter what her birthday is. She is slick fronted, deep bodied, and as wide as a train when you get behind her. Since she is so young, if you choose Dolly in this great pick lot she will remain on her mother at our house until after weaning.

Two full sisters out of the Feature Lot cow Deuces and the man himself, Mulberry. What more do I need to say? Well, for starters I think this mating hit it out of the park. If you look at these two heifers and are trying to decide which one you want on your team and you can’t decide I completely understand. One looks just like her momma – she has a nice look, moderate, and powerful. The other will remind you of all of those good Mulberry daughters you have seen; pretty fronted with tons of shape and feminity.

Also maternal sister to our High Selling Heifer in the 2010 Mile High Sale in Denver that was purchased by Lakeview Cattle Company for $7500. Her other maternal sister Erika was purchased by Wildcat Creek in Red Sunday 2010. This show heifer prospect has it all going for her, a great pedigree, super eye appeal, and plenty of muscle. She is a looker and is not missed by a single pasture visitor. Her dam is not only sired by Master Plan, but goes back to the great Canadian donor Empress 57 L. If her mother 101TB was not MAC, she would be in the donor pen for sure. Her mother’s udder is absolutely beautiful. She is sure to be part of the winning team next show season. MAC

Fireman is a ¾ brother to Nathan Lanier’s JKC Berry Princess 20W that tore up the show circuit in 2010. This heifer may look a little green in the picture, but that is because she is. She reminds me of many of the later maturing Huckleberry and Mulberry females. She no doubt has a great front and is beautiful in her lines. She continues to fill and mature every day. The Huckleberry Vernice mating has been a homerun for us several times. Their full sister is our best looking first calf heifer in the pasture with a nice Crimson Jewel heifer calf at side. This cow family I am convinced could live in the dessert and still look like you have been feeding her every day. They are easy fleshing, moderate, big ribbed females that make you want to have a pasture full of them. When you look at these two fall heifers you wouldn’t think any different. The advantage they give is that they have enough look to make it to the show ring yet this fall and winter. Don’t miss this great pair of sisters, you might want to just take them both home. We also displayed two full brothers at the Beef Profit Alliance in Manhattan. The pair of bulls had several fans in the crowd. Vernice’s first Huckleberry daughter was sold to Mann Ranch in 2009 for $4000. They were so pleased with her, they partnered with us and put in all these Vernice eggs.
Vernice was lot 2 out of Oates Land and Cattle dispersal and has been a great donor for us and Rush Red Angus. These embryo sisters out of Rough Rider are going to make great cows. We have sold and retained several of her maternal sisters and are so pleased. The maternal brothers have been great performers in test and in the pasture. This cow family is easy fleshing, very fertile, has tons of rib and body. They just spell C-O-W.

BW 1.7 • WW 40 • YW 75 • MILK 15 A pair of twin sister Huckleberry bred heifers pasture exposed to Mak’n Waves, really I don’t need to give anymore details. If you are excited about the pedigree and future offspring in their bellies, you won’t be disappointed when you look at them. They are very similar in pattern; clean fronted, deep body, with plenty of rib and bone. The calves they produce in the spring will probably more than pay for their mothers. Why are we letting them both go? Honestly, I’m not sure- all I can say is I want to be a team player.
