PROLOGUE "In pursuit of communicating with the land then expressing it." This was the reason why I was fascinated by landscape architecture. At my young age, i was curious about the earth, the nature, the environment etc. So i decided to choose Landscape Architecture as my undergraduate major. When i study further, i found that my world became wider. I discovered that field related to environmental psychology, sustainbility, ecological restoration, cultural heritage, urban design and so on, which is attractive to me continuely. From my perspective, landscape architect like a land magician or natural agent, who can communicate with the land and try to make a balance between human and nature. I spent four years in my college life exploring this. There are so many factors should be considered such as time, plant, climate, people's behavior, animals and so on. Everything is alive. In this portfolio, i would like to express my comprehension of space. I believe that the design is not just for the human beings but also involves the complex issues and relationships between the living (the minority like children) and inanimate things ( historical relics, fires, floods). The role of designers was to continue their journey or tell their story (identity) to the ordinary people.

00 RECOMMENDATION LETTER To Whom It May Concern: I'm privileged to recommend Qian Chen for your firm. I had the opportunity to be her design supervisor at AECOM. I first got to know her during her 3-month internship at our Beijing office." Throughout her time at our office, I have been consistently impressed by her attitude and her unwavering passion for design. She is proactive and highly motivated. Even during her relatively short internship, she was actively engaged in various aspects of landscape planning and design, including Hankou Riverfront Landscape Concept Design, Wuhan, China/ Neo Park Landscape Design, Hefei, China/ Shilaoren Seaside Park Concept Design, Qingdao, China/ Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Central Park Design Competition, Sanya, China. While working together, I observed that she was not only proficient in using various design software to complete tasks effectively but also contributed creative and innovative ideas to our projects. In the neo park project, she analyzed the relationship between the function of the test drive site and the space form, proposed some ideas of designing a proving ground in different environments based on the performances of the car, and combined with planting and terrain design to create different spatial experiences for drivers' feelings. She has a strong sense of environmental perception and the ability to shape the ambiance of a space from various perspectives. It is not just her professional skills that impress me, she is a curious individual who quickly learns and embraces new challenges. She actively seeks solutions to problems. I am glad to see a young designer who dares to acquire skills in diverse fields. Additionally, she collaborates effectively with our team members and provides valuable assistance. I believe she can achieve her aspirations and become an outstanding individual in the future. I am confident that Qian Chen would be a great candidate for your company. I believe she is just who you are looking for.

Introduction: The sixth fuel factory in Hsinchu has become a relic in the Japanese era. Here , it seemes to be abandoned by people but also became a paradise of biological growth. As the youngest city in Taiwan, the most people are under the pressure and suffering from some potentical health problems. So it may be an opportunity to transform the role of the site, involed in the urban context , create different sound based on the natural enviroment and the heritage structures to provide a multisensoty museum to the citizens today.

Introduction: The site located in Teglio which is a town in the Province of Sondrio, in Lombardy.Agriculture is an important economic resouce for the town. Furthermore, tourism contributes to it. However, the mobility can be an important issue in this area, which means people could not see the unique views continuely and deeply. In our project, we created different kinds of ways for visitors and locals to experience from the bottom to the top. COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS

Introduction: During the research process, we found that this area is densely populated by cities, but the connection between cities is weak. Our design starts through the parkway, which is the main road from Inveruno to Uboldo, and what we do is to strengthen the connection between different spaces by enhancing the design of the road and the public space around the road to form a complete connection system.

05 Auspicious beginning Type: Group work Instructor: Toselli Irene, Dessi' Valentina Maddalena , Mastropirro Roberta Site: Chiaravalle, Milan, Italy Collaborator: Chia-yu Hsu, Wang Bo, Wei-an Chen, Jianong Li, Bui Nhung, Lu Gan Introduction: The European White Stork has a great symbolic importance in the history of European culture, they usually forage in farmlands and wetlands. It is also the protagonist of the coat of arms of the chiaravalle monastery. But now this species are loss of biodiversity and loss of heritage value, the village is lack of community space. Therefore, we would like to emphasize the green corridor and the valley and recreate the habitat for the white storks. Besides ecology part, we want to reconnect the abbys and cascinas which is on the way of Valle dei monaci and represent the cultural agriculture heritages.
Design strategy
CULTURE AND HISTORY OF WHITE STORK The white stork benefited from human activities during the Middle Ages when the woods were cleared to make room for open plains ideal for hunting. Stemma dell’Abbazia chiaravallese. In several parts of the world (including Italy) the stork is associated with the birth of a newborn and happiness The white stork always nest in tall buildings in towns (also known as church bell towers) Because of the beautiful symbolism of the stork, people usually don't hunt this bird, except in a few countries. The stork has no particular dietary needs. It adapts to any food, also varying its diet depending on the place. They'll prey on almost any food that's the right size. Changes in cultivation methods and industrialization led to a decline in the species, leading it to disappear from certain parts of Italy in the 17th centuries. In modern times, the white stork usually breed on Transmission tower, which is dangerous for them. Lombardy, today, is among the regions with the most presences of storks in Italy. Even at the gates of Milan the stork is back! More and more specimens are nesting in the territory of the Southern Agricultural Park of Milan .Many environmental organizations are also working to promote the recovery of populations of this species in southern Milan.
The coat of arms assumed by the congregation towards the middle of the 15th century, & finely carved on the doorway of the Church, and consists of a white stork clutching a pastoral staff in its beak. At the time of the erection of the Abbey, the place, wooded & Selma was rich in these pitiful birds, which had not been slow to place their nests right into the building that the monks were erecting. The monks grew fond of these singular companions of their solitude, and nullifying their natural distrust they tamed them to such an extent, that they hi followed them in their work, walks, and sometimes even net travels. From this sweet commonality of life and pet the meekness and candidness of this bird, the Cistercian monacts elected the white stork as the symbol of their congregation. Rusca gives another explanation for this: 《Usa pet arme - he relates - et insegna il monasteto di Chiaravalle questo pietoso uccello il quale vedendo il padre et Ja madre vecchi e spennati, i colloca ne proprio nido, li porta il cibo et si spiuma per coprite la nudita dei genitori; così i monaci per essere carita'tivi verso i poveri et afflitti, usavano per insegna questi uccelli che nidificavano nel monasterio in tantaquantita che si sono veduti 20 nests: per ogni nido era 5 ovi. .. They departed from this place in the year 1574 ("Usa pet arme" he relates, "and teaches the monastery of Clairvaux this pitiful bird, which, seeing the father and mother old and plucked, places them in its own nest, brings them food, and feathers itself to cover the nakedness of the parents; thus the monks, in order to be charitable toward the poor and afflicted, used to teach these birds, which nested in the monastery in such numbers that 20 nests were seen: for each nest was 5 eggs... They departed from this place the year 1574)》; this emigration was perhaps caused by the foreboding of the dreadful pestilence that came upon all of Italy in 1575. -L'ABBAZIA di CHIARAVALLE MILANESE e la sua Storia Prefazione di Giacomo C. Introduction: Nankan Creek is an important river in Taoyuan city. The water area is relatively wide and it is a valuable water space in the city. However, due to the lack of early urban planning ,the per capita green space of Taoyuan is the last in the country, and residents are extremely lack of access to the environment. Additionally, the seasonal flood limited the people to enjoy the waterfront life.
