DIFFERENT TRIANGLES ARE RAISED ARE DIFFERENT HEIGHT. HEIGHT FOR EXAMPLE, SMALLEST TRIANGLE IS RAISED THE LEAST WHILE THE LARGEST TRIANGLE WILL BE THE HIGHEST. IN THIS WAY, IT REPRESENTS THE DIFFERENT HEIGHT OF HILL IN THE PARK AND HIERARCHY IS ACHIEVED. REPETITION AND ARE ALSO ACHIEVED WITH THE REPETITION OF TRIANGLES.

BACKGROUND The WY-TO LIVING SHELTER is inspired by the typical 'kampung house' at Southern Asia. It is designed to create a living space for the victims involved in natural disaster that is located in Southern Asia. It is a well designed shelter as it can easily be assemble and disassemble without any specific tool.

OPINION

ADVANTAGES Although the space inside the living shelter is small, however with the design of folded and portable furniture, it allows people inside to carry out various activity such as sitting, sleeping, shelving and yoga.

Besides, the living shelter is very sustainable as it generates own electricity using solar panel, great ventilation of air and has a water collection tank.

DISAVANTAGES The living shelter only has window panel sealed with net. Hence, during raining, the windows are not able to opened. Therefore, people inside will feel suffocated.

SOLUTION Install a window with glass, hence during raining day, people inside would not feel suffocated as being trapped between 4 walls.

transparent window allow view and increase the size of the shelter visually

PROJECT 03. ‘ POST COVID-19 POD’

‘POST COVID-19 POD’ THE ARTIST POD

INTERIOR PERSPECTIVE THE ARTIST POD IS DESIGNED FOR AN ARTIST, KATERINA APALE. DUE TO THE PANDEMIC HAPPENED RECENTLY, ARTIST COULD NOT GO OUTSIDE TO EXPLORE, DRAWING AND ORGANIZE EXHIBITION. HENCE, SHE WILL LOSE HER INCOME AND UNABLE TO GET INSPIRED BY THE NATURE TO PRODUCE HER ARTWORK. HENCE, THE POD I DESIGNED WILL HELP HER TO OVERCOME THE PROBLEMS FACED.

THE CONCEPT OF MY POD IS A TREE TREE. I AM INSPIRED BY MY SITE WHICH IS THE ALAM DAMAI PARK. THE POD HAS A LOT OF OPENINGS TO ALLOW VISUAL CONNECTION INSTEAD OF PHYSICAL CONNECTION. FURTHERMORE, THE POD HAS DIFFERENT OPENINGS AT DIFFERENT PART OF THE POD, POD ALLOWING THE ARTIST TO EXPLORE THE SURROUNDING AT A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE. THE SPACES INSIDE ARE ALSO ABLE TO GROW JUST LIKE THE TREE. THE POD IS ALSO ABLE TO CREATE PATTERN TO REPRESENT THE LEAF PATTERN AND SIGNIFICANT TO THE ARTIST.

THE MOST SPECIAL PART OF THE POD IS THE PULLABLE FLOOR AND THE FLEXIBILITY OF THE POD.
