udrey Hepburn was a British actress, model, dancer and humanitarian. Recognized as a film and fashion icon, Hepburn was active during Hollywood’s Golden Age. She was ranked by the American Film Institute as the third-greatest female screen legend in Golden Age Hollywood and was inducted into the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame. Born in Ixelles, a district of Brussels, Hepburn spent her childhood between Belgium, England and the Netherlands. In Amsterdam, she studied ballet with Sonia Gaskell before moving to London in 1948, continuing her ballet training with Marie Rambert, and then performing as a chorus girl in West End musical theatre productions.

udrey Hepburn is famous for her memorable movie roles in the 1950s and 60s. But Hepburn was not only an accomplished actress, she was also a humanitarian twho spent the latter part of her life helping underprivileged children and mothers across the globe through UNICEF.

hroughout her career, Hepburn was regarded as one of the most beautiful and accomplished actresses of her time; she also had quite the personality! She appeared in such films as Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Roman Holiday, and My Fair Lady, and during her lifetime she won a Tony, Grammy, Emmy, and Oscar, which has only been achieved by a handful of others. When Audrey Hepburn died in 1993 at the age of 63, the world lost not only a talented actress, but a woman of wisdom and compassion.



She left beauty whenever she went.
