RESIDENTIAL Emerald Community Sales Center Back Garden Client: Vanke Beijing Location: Beijing, China August. 2015 - May. 2017 Role: Project Manager, Landscape Designer Supervisor and Co-worker: Kevin MacNeill The landscape design for the Emerald Community sales area is intended to create an elegant, gracious setting for the Sales Center building and the model unit garden, helping to provide an enjoyable and memorable experience for visitors and potential clients. Design elements such as site furnishings, hardscape materials and plantings reflect the visual character of New England and the Boston area and also serve to reinforce the architectural style of the project.

The project, located one block north of the beach and west of Sanya downtown, aims to create a relaxed, comfortable and attractive community of residences, hotel and serviced apartments in a tropical resort-like atmosphere. The focus of the master plan is an internal, pedestrian-oriented garden space which includes water features, pools, play areas, walkways, sitting areas and facilities for social gatherings.

The Hilton Garden Inn Roof Garden features an indoor-outdoor bar space, ourdoor chaise lounge area, a swimming pool, a spa pool and a kids playground . It provides a private, comfortable and fun place to the guest to have a rest and enjoy the sunshine.

HOSPITALITY Baoting Terraces Conceptual Masterplan Client: Meihaoli Investment Group Location: Baoting, Hainan, China January. 2018 - March. 2018 Role: Project Manager, Landscape Designer Supervisor and Co-worker: Kevin MacNeill/ John Camm Hainan possesses a wealth of resources including bountiful marine and wildlife, agriculture, forests, and mineral deposits that in combination with traditional Chinese design inspires the landscape design of the Baoting Terraces project. Each of the courtyards of the residential buildings is leafshaped in plan and features a special central design feature reflecting one of the 5 fundamental elements of Chinese traditional design. Water, Fire and Earth plus Wood and Metal site design elements create unique organizing features that define each of these courtyard spaces and are inspired by Hainan’s wealth of natural resources.

HOSPITALITY Mengwu Mountain Village Client: Vanke Beijing Location: Beijing, China January. 2017 - Now Role: Landscape Designer Supervisor and Co-worker: Kevin MacNeill The Mengwu Village Center is located on a beautiful mountainous area northwest of Beijing. This tourism and hospitality complex includes a sports apparel store, three restaurants, a bookstore, a conference center and a mountain lodge. The project emphasizes the use of traditional elements expressing water, wood, fire, earth, and metal in a contemporary interpretation reflective of today’s lifestyle. This project vision is to become the center of selfdiscovery and self-improvement at the “healthy corner” of Beijing.
