FUTURARC
GRADUATION PROJECT
GROUND FLOOR PLAN
The primary tone was impacted by the synchronic moment of light and darkness. Where people feel relieved after a hard day of effort.
VAN HOA Villa is located in Bien Hoa, Dong Nai province. The project location is located in a private garden near a canal system. The owner planned to spend weekends here and wants to retire here in the future; he is currently over 60 years old.
This project's concepts have to revolve on water, canals, waves, or fish. Then we think about a folk legend about carps, which are capable of flying when they grow up. A carp turns into a dragon.

SECTION 1
Similarly, a carp shape has two variations: underwater and grown-up. We chose the second option. Furthermore, we had to think about the material, structure, and how we should combine it. To create an extremely flying approach we had to examine a structural system that allows the house to lift off. We simply seek a building technique with a composite metal deck.
SECTION 2
We aimed to construct a curve that maximizes the garden landscape panorama at every single position. We believed we had done effectively as long as we could see directly the entire garden from any location of the building. We had a great room on the ground level, and we required it to be unique and exquisite.

We had a lot of issues in the construction of this house during the growing epidemic of Covid. We had issues in delivering materials and fulfilling construction workers when they were forced to be blocked down by the government for a long duration of time, forcing construction to an interruption. Following the pandemic, there comes a period of supply-chain inflation, in which the price of constructing supplies rises rapidly.

The Facade system was inspired by carp's shiny skin and tails. As a result, we used aluminum panels for cladding together with the diagonal stainless steel tubes. We somehow ended up with surrealism. We expected this house to be simply that: home. We was seeking to create our own stunning artwork for this house. The combination of majestic-looking and feeling materials, as well as the minimalist style, make that part a treasure for the flying carp.
The barrisol stretch ceiling is not only an attractive focal point when a guest first enters this home, but it also serves as a separate artwork that imitates various holes through which carps can fly.

As soon as you reach out the first staircase, you will see the meeting room that we had set up according to requirements by the client. The homeowner is a successful entrepreneur, but he is getting older and would prefer to obtain his work at home. Along with from being a meeting room, it could be used as the entertainment space. We wanted to be a little more lively in this space while still remaining consistent with the overall concept, so we designed a wave metal reflected ceiling that lined up with the building's lighting system in order to create an overall impression of movement.
Next to the conference room will be a comfortable seating space with an outstanding view of the landscape garden below. Following the corridor, there will be bedrooms for relatives and visitors visiting . At the end of the corridor, the husband and wife will have a significant bedroom. We've concentrated hard to improve this solitary bedroom to the standard of exquisite hotels.
These shiny pieces of metal are abstract imitations in the image of rough rocks. The main goal of creating these huge pieces of metal is to cover load-bearing steel columns that do not bring any emotion. From beginning sketches to handcraft models. From ideas rushing through your head to technical drawings.

Initially, during the idea phase, we had to create smaller models at a lower size so that we could feel them in different ways rather than viewing 3D drawings on a screen.
Then, to CNC these bits of metal, we had to flatten and split the 3D models into smaller pieces.
Later, we had to determine if they had been hit or touched. Unfortunately, because they are all metal, they are loud. As a result, we devised a remedy by pouring concrete into each column. If they're solid, they don't resonate anymore.
The owner has a large plank of South Africa padauk. He asked us to design a coffee table for 8-10 people. This wood board is really big.
L: 6100mm
W: 2400mm
H: 200mm
We did design many concepts and the owner really liked this below concept. The idea is a fusion of 2 elements. Like nature woods was invasive by the urbanization. It crept in and slowly destroyed everything.

The original padauk board is rather wide. So we had to shut off. We created certain cutting variances for our shape purposes in order to insert another material into the wood, particularly steel, so we had to calculate properly.
Like the multifaceted columns, a lower-scale model is necessary, we had to think about force stability. Beside aesthetic issue, force dispersion issue must be a priority. We chose 30x30 mm stainless steel tubes to embrace this table.
We wanted the stainless steel tubes to appear as light as possible, as if they were carried into space. Unfortunately, we had some joint troubles, and the wood board was burned when we attempted to weld the tubes. But we eventually got it solved.
The color palette was inspired by a mix of two stark contrasts: the frigid gamut of wild nature and the warm gamut of soothing sunlight.
Our design evolved into something beautiful, traditional, and luxury. So we picked white cream as the main hue.
Our furniture must make a great statement with teal tones. Teal is also the spotlight color.

The mansion was home to three generations of family. Clients are Vietnamese entrepreneurs who would like to live with their children in a faraway region of Brisbane, Australia. The owners are those with appreciate a clean and elegant design So we took on a white coat of subtle delicacy around the house. We aim to comprehend our clients by talking with them about their daily routines and family life.
Residences with an entirely white layout will leave a strong impression due to the purity and elegance. However, we should use furnishings in a variety of surprising forms or patterns, as well as artwork on the walls, ceilings, or furniture.

White is used to set up context. It helps to express both purity and simplicity. So it was used in all corridors and entrances. To create an effective contrast, we put on a dark covering to all the opening frames.
In the corridors, we typically prioritize to get as much natural light as possible by putting in massive glass openings. We had to make sure that the house receives sufficient brightness by using white tones and reasonable lighting arrangements.
Aside from artworks, we and our clients spend much time in choosing the sculptures.

The dining area is the heart of the area, as well as the home. So we put in a lot of work and gave it an exquisite minimal. We don't want it to be flashy, but also not simple in any way.
The overall layout of the kitchen is crucial for creating an ideal living area. After a long day at work, everyone in the family gathers in the kitchen to share a warm meal. So it must be a really pleasant and comfortable space.
We created two kitchens for the homeowners: a show kitchen and an inside main kitchen. The main kitchen will be inside, where professional chefs work or when the clients is interested in visiting the kitchen in person The show kitchen area will be where others can relax or sip on a cup of tea.
We combined the kitchen and dining area with an open space. We used a variety of massive openings in the corridor to obtain as much natural light as possible.
The bathroom has been layout with an oval bathtub in the center of the room. We know precisely what our clients are seeking and when they're looking for it.
To be convenient in changing clothes, we connected the walk-in closet with bathroom and master bedroom.
In a manner similar to the corridor areas, we ensure to get as much natural light as possible by putting in massive glass openings, enhancing with the yellow light effect at 2700K to keep the room feeling warm and vibrant.
To generate strong highlights and contrasts, we used jewels teal shades on items and a wide wall to balance between warmth and coolness. This teal color expresses elegance and sophistication to an upper class.

We seek to add warmth to this bedroom by using warm materials and colors. We selected a light wood floor to create a cozy and relaxing atmosphere no matter how huge the floor area is. We have our sights on shiny metal details in furnishings that reflect our clients' class. We've minimized everything, but we're still making an effort to build a unique refinement with an extremely meticulous sculpture. We uses effected paint to cut down on having to be cladded by flashy materials. The paint's pattern was matched with the sculpture we've got on the wall. And in somehow, they were got separated with plain paints.

Ribbed steels painted red produce a false rust impression and are bent to form a dome frame. Acrylic is an appropriate material for pairing with steel frames. Acrylic's readily hazy characteristics contribute to an impression of fading values. Line the floor with tempered glass to produce a water-reflective look evocative of the living habits of a former canal.

CELL RESIDENTIAL AREA
In anticipation of the planet's worsening scenarios over the next 50 years, as global warming becomes more severe, posing threats to human habitation in traditional architectural forms, our research group has introduced a new urban architectural concept inspired by the architectural languages of resilient organisms surviving in similar harsh conditions, such as cacti and ant colonies.
Whether you believe it or not, human activity is progressively causing the climate to shift in a bad way. According to climate research undertaken over the last 50 years and predicted models for the future 50 years, science has produced abundant obvious and convincing evidence that global warming is occurring on our planet.
Improper urbanization adds greatly to global warming. The unregulated growth of cities causes a number of environmental difficulties.

DOUBLE SKIN
LIGHT & SHADOW
The urban layout is mostly influenced by the Voronoi language, which is a language of cells in biology. We selected it because cells are the basic building elements of all living things on the globe. A single cell is like one of millions, if not billions, of bricks that make up a living structure, displaying proximity, naturalness, and accessibility to all forms inside our new urban architectural idea. Cells also represent ongoing regeneration through their steady proliferation, demonstrating perseverance despite the natural challenges that people must face.
This novel method seeks to meet the difficulties posed by climate change and urbanization while incorporating ideas of resilience and adaptation inspired by nature's design.
The modules can be easily and adaptably expanded over challenging terrains thanks to the Voronoi language. Because of this, no two modules are alike, enabling personalization of each unit.
This naturally produces side routes that lead to additional housing or facilities.
SKYLIGHT
Light is a necessary component for human development. In essence, it promotes healthy growth for all.
Heat and UV radiation are also brought on by sunlight, therefore we had to minimize and control them sensibly.
Because of their unique forms, each cell has a chamber of activities that can differ greatly from the others.
Because of the design's porous nature, natural plants might infiltrate inside the units, helping to cool them while also providing green space.
CENTER PARK SIDEPATH
Similarly, greens are a necessary component for individuals everywhere. Greens are always the first thing that comes to mind when trying to combat rising global temperatures.
Our concept began with incorporating green places within the metropolis. Not just building a metropolis and then incorporating flora with ease.
We chose a little harsh beginning point and made greens the main point of each block and module. You may stroll or bike along these routes, which are constantly sheltered from the sun.
The idea is taken from the developed industries in Bao Loc. With familiar industries such as tea, coffee, silk,... Not only achieve the goal of promoting and introducing the beautiful scenery of Bao Loc, but also have to bring the typical culture of the Central Highlands to visitors here.
DAMB’RI RESORT AND SPA (GRADUATION THESIS)
Location: Bao Loc city, Lam Dong
Architects: Tran Quang Khai
Year: 2022
Area: 12 ha
The project location is bordered by the Central Highlands' hilly and wooded areas, which have a very cold environment and weather. The property is surrounded by remarkable trees such as plum, sarsaparilla, and maple trees.
The site's principal landscape consists of undulating hills separated into bazan units. Hills and sloping hills with relatively flat tops arose as a result. Dambri's community consists of ferrasols, acrisols, and black soils (luvisols). The terrain is fairly steep, yet it is ideal for cultivating tea, coffee,... The area spans from the foot of the hill to the summit of a hill with an altitude of +675m to +750m. The average water level at the lake's bottom is +650 meters (data from the Dam'Bri Hydropower Plant).
Bao Loc is a place where people's traditions and cultures are preserved. The traditional cultural values in Bao Loc represent the immutability that has been ingrained in the treasures of this culture throughout history. It is these values that will continue to enrich this land throughout the ages.
Lightweight, efficient, and economical structural solutions have always been a priority for retreat resorts. By utilizing local materials, the region can boost its economy and express its cultural identity.
The slope house is a common kind of structure in the Highlands. With the characteristics of the natural terrain and indigenous life, airy space, wide view of the Baoli lands, whatever works here, whether large or small, the architecture must also stick to the terrain, fit and respect the terrain and its specific life, avoid the maximum of the terrain smoothness and blur identity, should not develop "artificial" heights but should be low, with moderate proportions and spread in harmony with the landscape, mixed in it, how in the panorama.
Bao Loc is the place that embodies the solitude and air of the Highlands forest. Visitors will wish to immerse themselves in the tranquility of nature. Thus, the furniture must be modest while still capturing the essence of the forest, the trees, heaven, and Bao Loc.
