ABOUT
Company History/Structure: QNET is an international direct selling company established in 1998. It sells products and services globally via its online proprietary eCommerce platform at www.qnet.net. QNET is a recognised member of the Direct Selling Association of Malaysia (DSAM), the Direct Selling Association of Philippines (DSAP) and the Direct Selling Association of Singapore (DSAS), all part of the World Federation of Direct Sales Associations, in which QNET’s compensation plan, policies and procedures and practices were (and continue to be) thoroughly analysed and approved to be fair, ethical and professional. Headquartered in Hong Kong, QNET has offices and agents (locally-registered companies that are independently contracted to provide after-sales services on behalf of QNET) in 25 countries worldwide and warehouses in 6 countries with a combined storage space of 50,000 sq. ft. With 24/7 multilingual support available in 23 languages, QNET is able to maintain a local presence throughout its markets, especially in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.
Products: QNET offers a wide spectrum of products ranging from personal care and nutrition to home care, Swiss-made watches and jewellery. QNET also offers services such as vacation packages and online elearning courses. The products and services are of high quality, tested/certified by world-renowned independent institutions and are sold by QNET on an exclusive basis.
Customers and Independent Representatives of QNET: Customers learn about QNET products and services from Independent Representatives (IRs). An Independent Representative is a person who registers on QNET’s website under a unique identification number and becomes entitled to provide marketing services for QNET by promoting its products and services to customers. An Independent Representative acts as an independent contractor and is not considered an employee, agent, partner or representative of QNET. The relationship between QNET and a QNET Independent Representative is regulated by QNET’s Policies & Procedures, which focusses on the Independent Representative’s fair and ethical practices as a QNET Independent Representative and his/her compliance to the laws of his/her country. Independent Representatives must read and accept QNET’s Policies & Procedures during their enrolment process. Each Independent Representative has a secure online office (Virtual Office) and an account displaying the commissions earned (Q Account). Quite often, retail customers show interest in marketing QNET’s products and opportunities by becoming Independent Representatives themselves. More detailed information can be obtained at www.qnet.net. Since its inception, QNET has successfully combined two business models: network marketing (for promoting products and services) and electronic commerce (for making sales). Since QNET’s products and services are sold online, they can be purchased from practically anywhere in the world, provided there is an Internet connection and QNET is able to deliver the product to the customer. This allows IRs to promote products to customers in any country provided the two above-mentioned conditions are met and the requirements of local laws with regard to business (marketing) activities are complied with.

IMPORTANT NOTE: •
• • •
•
According to the laws of Kazakhstan, commissions earned by Independent Representatives are considered as business income, while their activities of network marketing are considered as business activities. Therefore, Independent Representative must register his/her business with the Tax Department as a Sole Proprietor and pay taxes on the commissions they earn. The registration must be done as soon as his/her income from commissions within a year reach a level of 12 minimum wages (around USD 1,300). For further questions on SP registration and payment of taxes, please contact our agency office in Almaty for brief details or the Tax Office and your own financial advisors for a full understanding and compliance on this matter. Independent Representatives must, from the start of making presentations, give full information about QNET products and services and clearly explain about the Compensation Plan. IRs should clearly explain to a new client/prospect that the money he/she pays is for enrolment as an Independent Representative and placement of product orders, while the money they can earn is in the form of commissions based on sales of products and services. Independent Representatives should ensure that customers/prospects do not feel that the money is investment and the commissions are returns on their investment. If they are helping the potential customer/ Independent Representative to place an order, they must ensure that enrolment and order is made in the presence of the customer and a receipt must be printed out without delay. Independent Representatives must ensure that their customers/prospects maintain confidentiality of data. If they are assisting downlines in their business activities, they must let the downlines maintain and retain their key data confidentiality also. Independent Representatives are requested to please refer to the documents in detail on this and to ensure full compliance with them. If an Independent Representative decides to open his/her own sole proprietorship office and promote QNET products from his/her office, he/she must have registered his business as SP, LLP or etc. (the simplest form is Sole Proprietorship). Revenues and expenses of the office must be clearly explained and declared to the authorities. The office must not be branded as QNET or The V or any of QI Group subsidiaries and Independent Representatives who operate from their office should not present themselves as staff/employees or representatives of QNET (they should clearly state that they are Independent Representatives of QNET that promote/market QNET products/services as an independent business person in Kazakhstan). The office should be rented in officially allowed office venue, not in residential areas where offices are not permitted. Examples of officially allowed office venues are office buildings or ground floors of some of residential buildings where opening office is allowed by city authorities If an Independent Representative decides to organise a seminar, conference or any other event, in a public venue, for more than 50 people, to promote QNET products and business opportunity, pre-approval from The V Business Development must be obtained and the organising Independent Representative must, prior to holding such event, prove that: the venue of the event will be rented under his/her registered business (i.e., contract with the venue owner must be signed under his/ her registered business name); proper permission or a license to hold the event from the relevant authorities is in place; if charges are to be applied for the participants of the event, official tickets must be given out as receipts and the proceeds of the ticket sale must be declared to Tax Authorities as revenues and taxes must be paid for such revenues based on rates applicable to that particular type of business registration; and a programme schedule of the event’s topics and speakers is documented and given to The V Business Development.
