Politics during 2020 were certainly a rollercoaster ride. Highly contested races saw candidates stretching themselves to exhaustion to win. And, no other candidates did so more than those from the LGBTQ community. Across the U.S. the Rainbow Wave swept into every corner of our world. And, for the first time ever in history, Congress has the most diverse class of lawmakers in history. Our feature on this dynamic tells some stories of what all this looked like against the political landscape in the year that just passed. In our efforts to look ahead, a number of community members share their hopes for 2021 and what they want to do to help achieve those aims. On the light side, we have a feature on singer/songwriter Susan Werner, a remembrance of the faithful Johnny Johnson, and a news piece on newly named diversity advisor and reigning Miss USA Cheslie Kryst. We also have current local, regional, and national news, along with other pieces, that will serve to enlighten and entertain our readers.
