Our world is in a long-term COVID-19 pandemic and the LGBTQ community knows what this can do to a society at large. Our annual issue, Life, Positively!, focuses on the AIDS epidemic, both historically and what is being done today to help stem the tide against it. Features include one on the National AIDS Quilt and how it will be displayed this year, a retrospective on the early days of AIDS in Charlotte, a local medical research project, a perspective on the red ribbon as well as resource listings and World AIDS Day events. We also have some lighter fare with an interview with former Charlotte poet Kim Roberts and 'Smothered' cast members on their show. We have some post-election coverage, as well. We also have current local, regional and national news, along with other pieces, that will serve to enlighten and entertain our readers.
