Join the community Services Staff for active play, fundamental learning, and fun! Designed to develop and improve players’ fitness levels and skillsets. During the six sessions of Sports recess, participants will focus on character building, fundamental skills, conditioning, learning new exercises, and much more!

Calling all Children, ages 6-13 years old, to join in the City of Colton's Youth Basketball League.
This non-competitive league for children, ages 6-13 years old, is a thirteen-week long season, with TEN scheduled games. All games and practices will be at the Gonzales Community Center, located at 670 Colton Avenue.

Registration Begins Monday, September 19, 2022!
§ $112 per child for Residents. $153 per child for Non-Residents. § Fees include a complete basketball uniform (jersey and shorts), and a participation award at the end of the season.
Registration Deadline is Monday, November 7, 2022.*
§ A non-refundable late fee will be applied to any late registrations. Proof of residency is required at the time of registration. All individuals registering must provide written verification of the date of birth at the time of registration. Accepted forms of verification include birth certificates, baptism records, or medical cards. Registration is held at the Gonzales Community Center or online at apm.activecommunities.com/Colton, and is on a first come first serve basis. *Players may be placed on the waiting list after the deadline; however, there are no guarantees that players will be accommodated and placed on a team. Registrants will not be charged to be placed on the waiting list, only when they are officially placed on a team. Waiting list participants will be enrolled by first come first serve. Skill Assessments are a mandatory player evaluation. Players should register for a skill assessment appointment at the time of registration. Players should attend the skill assessment wearing appropriate athletic attire. NEW
Developmental Division formerly known as Division D will focus on building a fundamental foundation. First time Coach or Player? This division will consist of one weekly division camp style practice during the month of December to prepare for games and team practices.

Colton Youth Basketball League is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic adult volunteers ready to demonstrate sportsmanship, and teach the fundamental skills of basketball. Volunteers should be knowledgeable of the rules, and willing to teach important characteristics such as teamwork, responsibility, good sportsmanship, and hard work.
