Surrounding Context 周边环境
The plot is located in an area with crucial buildings. Surrounding the area, new high standing multifunctional buildings were built in the Hudson Yard; In the north, Jacob Javits Convention Center has been attracting people to the area for years; On its west side, the renovation of the sea walk in front of the Hudson river and its docks is finished; At present, the Highline park S3 is completed, passing through the site.

Green Space &Accessibility 绿地空间和可达性分析
Proposal With several bus stops and the only subway station near the site, the east corner is best choice to served as the main walking entrance of the site.

The site has the potential to connect the green space in Manhattan Downtown and the waterfront walkway, to be served as a green corridor for public.

Cultural Entertainment Analysis 文娱POI分析
Proposal Develop the site as a new booming space for youth who have stage dreams. The project provides the rehearsal room and stage as well as audience for them, bringing in talents and creating new trends in return.
NYCT – Concept Design Presentation
The POI layout of cultural entertainment shows that Broadway has accumulated a high density of resourses. Broadway is known for its theater culture worldwide for a long time. The green space with low heights is in the middle of the site, which offers a full view from the Vessel (a huge outdoor trace in Hudson Yard) to Hudson River. What is more, it connect the Bella Abzug Park and Hudson Yard to be a whole green line.

Highline Park goes past the site, which form a beautiful arc. We feels like to use it to make some interactions with it, such open space,paving, structures and etc.

Master plan follows every analysis proposal formed previously. Based on the site axis plan and surrounding context, the plan mainly focuses on solving the circulations of the theatre as well as the site itself. In addition, we developed the zoning plan and several nodes for detail design.

Node Section
The square, especially the removable train cabin stage provide enough space for youth to perform when the dry fountains are not in use. Besides, while the fountains are playing with music and light, the actors may deliver abundant sensuous feasts to visitors. The surrounding water can restore the used water for the whole recycle system. People on the overpass can have a overall vision of the show. On the open lawn, there are couples of single karaoke rooms for youth to practice and enjoy themselves.

Detailed Design 设计深化 Node 2: Outdoor Auditorium
Young people in NYC prefer outdoor activities. Outdoor Auditorium is a perfect place for youth to find friends and their target audience. Plus, visitors on the Highline Park can enjoy performance. Therefore, we build the outdoor auditorium with a wide stage which has a capacity of 400 people. Following the acoustic design rules, the unique two-layer stage structure aims to maintain sound quality. It enriches the vision interaction and sound echo as well. The seats are designed into two kinds: wooden chairs and grass ramp.

The hardscape in the site uses the same Peel-up style from the hardscape on the highline park. We develop the infrustructure and facilities as modularization portion. The typology component can be used through the whole site.
