PAST
My name is Michelle CHUNG Long Tung. I always have strong interests in art especially in creating paintings through texture and also designing fashion for women. In my secondary school, I have studied arts and have created many pieces of artworks. They were all appreciated by the Principal, Teachers, Classmates as well as outsiders. I wish to pursue Arts to higher level in a renowned University and to further develop my abilities and skills.
I like artists including Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood & CoCo Chanel. I found that their works have changed the mindsets and great impacts to the World. I like unique and untraditional way of creating artworks. In school, some of my artworks were exhibited in the school Chinese New Year gallery and corridors and had received a lot of appreciations and critics. My series of prints called “Ice-cream for Everybody” has made all students happy and I also made a “Water Bottle” out of mix-&-match materials that I have never tried out in my textile class.
Later that year, I further made a “Tote Bag” made by combining photos and printings created by myself and edited by photoshop. I was invited to create a painting that I named “Dog of Happiness” to an handicapped retired lady as a gift who lives alone in Vancouver, Canada. Some of my favourite attempts were the “Anti-socialist Tulips” painting to reflect the recent year emotion and political state of young people in Hong Kong, “Tai Chi” print to express the concerns of imminent air pollution problem, “The Life of Lionfish” etchings borrowed from the idea from my visit to Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada in Toronto July 2017 to express the beauty of sea creatures and their extraordinary dance movements. I have been attempting to translate her charms into fashion. On the other hand, I have experiences in different work placements. For example, I worked in June 2016 as a Arts Teaching Assistant at Glenealy School, Mid-levels. I also attended the Young Founders School, Credit Suisse, ICC and State Street iBank, IFC in early 2017.
Given my interests above, I will be starting my BA Fashion Design in The University for the Creative Arts. I want to learn more knowledge and skills in fashion. Moreover, I want to make more friends and work with others to enjoy University.

My campus will be in Rochester. I have been to Rochester to take a look the area a few weeks back before i started my english course in Epsom. The Rochester town is just lovely and awesome !
FUTURE
I am a global traveller and have been to UK, USA, Canada, Alaska, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan and etc.. I enjoy seeing different cultures and backgrounds. These travel experiences have been inspiring me in my artworks and design. I shall continue my travelogue in the future. After I finish my BA(Hons) Fashion Design Course, I want to be a successful fashion designer. I want to put my ideas into practice. Furthermore, I want to create my brand and enjoy working in the fashion industry. Let’s ROCK the World !
PAST My name is Jasmine and I come from China. As a student who majored in Fashion Design, my future plan is to become a Master in this subject. In my opinion, London has a long tradition of textile industry and is also the production center of classic menswear. London maintains its status as a fashion capital because it has the most avant-garde and professional school of design and art. That is the important reason why i come to England. During my college life, I learned how to design and make clothes. In addition, I also won the school scholarship for two consecutive years. What I am good at is the combination of patterns and fabrics. I believe pattern is one of the most intuitive ways to express the design concept. The audience can get a clear idea of your idea through your design without too much introduction. At the same time, exquisite pattern design can successfully focus the attention of the audience.

I benefited a lot from the ten-weeks Pre-sessional English course. First of all, I learned how to use English more fluently to communicate with foreigners and got to know four new friends from
different countries in the class. In the process of communicating with them, I gradually improved my spoken English. Second, I learned how to write essay, report and proposal in a correct format and express my ideas in a more academic language. In my opinion, the most important way to improve your writing skills is reading. Only by reading different articles and then you know how to write more academic articles. Before each project starts, the school will took us to visit different museums or scenic spots. Also find writing inspiration during the journey, such as selecting your interested exhibitions or artists. Enrich your horizon and improve your writing. Last but not least, I improved my presentation skills. I didn't even dare to look at the audience in my first presentation. But the Pre-sessional English course gave me a opportunity to improve my presentation skills. My tutor patiently taught me how to make eye contact with the audience, body language and control of time during the presentation. Now I can confidently stand on the stage and make a successful presentation. I think a successful presentation is built on practice, and you will feel more confident in the process if you are well prepared. Presentation skills are some of the essential skills for a designer. Presentations can make you better express your ideas to the audience. During the ten weeks of learning, my listening, speaking, reading and writing skills have been greatly improved. I really appreciate the patient guidance and requirements from my tutor.
FUTURE
In my future, I will learn how to create my own brand and how to establish brand image in my MA Fashion Design course. As a student of this course, I will create a collection and devise an appropriate marketing and promotion campaign and online presence ready for market.
I believe that every designer wants to have their own brand, so how to create and promote the brand is very important. This course will give me an in-depth understanding of how the fashion industry works and how global fashion brands are built and developed through research. The goal is to help me develop my brand so that I can plan and produce a large project that is unique to me.

I am Li runqin. I have been studying fashion design for three years in uca. And when I was a little girl, I used to like to cut out pictures of fashion magazines and posters, and put them up on the wall, and every day in the world like living in a fashion world, and it made me more passionate about it, and I realized that my love of fashion design, that I started paying attention to things, people, their self-packaging, and I was more focused on every single thing in my life, and it made my fashion sense more powerful.
In general, this language class is mainly to feel the atmosphere of English teaching in advance, learn how to write English papers, and the front of writing papers and notes.as well as the speech to improve oral expression ability, every Friday will also go to see art exhibitions, improve the aesthetic, cultivate an artistic atmosphere. improve the ability to develop our independent learning, time management capacity, critical thinking ability so on. Thus through 10 weeks of language course, we know a lot of about partners, teamwork is very important. Also built a deep relationship between class members. This is a huge improvement relative to the previous self. Later in the university curriculum will be more leisurely, because know this side of the teaching way, mastered a lot of skills
FUTURE Fashion design is only a small portion of the fashion industry. Courses in the future, in the first year of study to learn the fashion history and basic clipping and the ability to identify the fabric. In the second year of course I hope have a better ability to learn some in-depth technology, combine the production technology of the traditional manual skills and contemporary art design and innovation. At the same time ,in third year to consolidated basic knowledge learned in the first two years and began to choose a career on the road ,then find town style and the future development direction. Step by step, the future blueprint will build by ourself.
