LOCKABLE GAS SPRING USAGE AND STORAGE 1) The seal and nuts on the locable gas springs shall not be removed. Otherwise the threads will damage the seal inside the cylinder when the gas spring is in close position.The thread part of the piston rod shall never be in the cylinder.

2) The mechanism which pushes the pim should be in relax position when it is connected.

If it is pressed to much the pim will move in and the locking system stays open position.

As result the gas spring will not lock.

3) The Gas springs are designed for 20°C . Using in extreme tempratures decrease the life period of the gas springs. The usage area temperature should be between max.+80°C and min. -30°C . The seal will be damaged out of these temperature range.

4) Both Cylinder and piston rod shall not be hit, deformed, damaged or exposed to wet, dusty,corrosive environment.

5) Install without twisting, pivot only at the connections provided, avoid lateral forces.

Avoid tilting or side forces during operation.

6) The piston rod should be protected from particles, dust, paint, corrosive substances. No cleaning chemicals shall be used, any damage on the piston rod will damage the seal inside the cylinder.

7) The gas spring piston rod is processed very carefully and smootly. The equipments shall be used carefully not to damage the piston rod. No markings, bendings should be done.

8) If the Locable gas spring is used continuously , shall not be made more then 6 tour in a minute.

9) They must be mounted piston rod down.

10) Max. Storage period without working of the gas spring should be considered as 6 months. First in first out policy shall be applied.
