Pipe drilling and bag positioning devices Pipe drilling units All städtler + beck pipe-drilling devices allow drilling a pipe without any gas or water leakage. For years, städtler + beck uses a unique system, named IKSK, which provides intelligent and continuous control of the power applied to the cutting tool. This system is based upon a special spring, which is loaded in order to automatically apply pressure to the cutting tool. In this way, städtler + beck pipe cutting devices feature a number of unique characteristics: • High torque level • Uniform drilling results • Less wear on the cutting tool and absorption of shocks As a result, these devices need 50 % less time when compared to conventional pipe drilling devices. Due to reduced wear, operating costs are 65 % lower while cutting tools last longer.

Drilling device for drilling gas and water pipes without loss The drilling and tapping device “MINI” is the economical solution for all situations where metal and plastic lines or pipes under pressure up to 10 bar have to be drilled with a drilling diameter of up to 2½". Bag positioning devices MDA™ safety technology backed by tradition and experience. Bag positioning devices to temporarily stop-off gas pipes according to BRG 500 regulations. All MDA™ bag positioning devices (both single and double bag positioning devices) are DVGW certified. MDA™ bag positioning devices are the only DVGW-certified double bag positioning devices on the market with the following features:

These HA bag-positioning devices are the only ones on the market, which can be used in combination with bow-shaped ball valves. In combination with water pipes, the use of special high-pressure bags allows the use with operating pressures of up to 2.5 bar. Due to the well-known insertion technology, the use of 2 setting devices allows releasing the tension of the space between bags or flushing the pipe. Type: 080

Bag positioning devices for double stop-off bags with the funktion to release the tension between bags – DVGW certified, Certification no. 4521BR0184 This system allows positioning and controlling of two bags in sequential order with only one bag positioning device or one set of positioning struts. Each bags features its own air inlet. In this way, both bags can be filled independently. Any damage of the pressure-side bag does not automatically affect the second bag. This technique requires only drilling and consequential sealing of one insertion hole on each side of the working space without sacrificing the security of two stop-off bags. A third injection device allows releasing the pressure of the space between both bags. Gas leakage into this space is released via a hose leading to the street level. Type: 080

High pressure blocking technology Pipe drilling and HA stop-off device until 1 bar pipe pressure 1 to 2 ½" – For drilling and temporarily blocking gas house connections The stop-off device is mainly used to block high pressure gas pipelines, thereby the gas emission is limited to the maximum capacity of the sluice. The HA type safely blocks house connections to 2½". We offer the stop-off device with or without primary pressure measurement, so there‘s no need for another temporarily suppressor. In the water and long-distance heating area the device is applicable up to 6 bar line pressure. The plugs can easily be fitted with the milling cutter and plug adapter, and after being drilled they can be grouted. No other manufacturer can point to a manufacturing depth of 100 %. Our bags are made according to the highest quality standards. We carefully select suitable fabric materials, which we convert into highly functional stop-off bags at our manufacturing site in Speyer, Germany. The inside layer made of rubber confirms to all industry standards, as well as the DVGW regulations. Our certified MDA™ stop-off bags are designed for manual positioning or for the use in combination with bag positioning devices. They are the result of our continuous research and development.

Insertion technology (HA) Our concern was always a gas stop-off operating respectively and operating under less dengerous circumstances, especially in relation to house connection. Starting with the first drilling device we‘ve exclusively produced pipe drilling units. Today therefore we possess the largest global range of testing and blocking devices (HA): A series of patent-registered technologies like the gas lock for gas-free insertion of a TV camera (Patent-No.10316842.7), the development of a special pipe stopper (Patent-No. 202 14 556.5), or our new universal hose adapter for städtler + beck HAT‘s for an easy installation of all gas lock systems without additional welding are evidence of our capabilities.

Gas lock for gas-free insertion of a sliding TV camera – for inserting into gas or water pipes with pressures of up to 10 bar The TV gas lock makes it possible to insert a sliding TV camera for inspection of gas pipes without the leakage of gas. In the process, it is possible to push the sliding tv camera continuously and as far as you require over the pipe to be inspected. By a new and patented procedure it is possible to move the sliding TV camera flexibly and free of gases. Thus the current status of a gas pipe can be investigated, when gas bags burst or are destroyed inside the tube during a closing off.

House connection socket testing device – It's the first swivelling socket testing device for testing house connection ends from the main tube – “leak test”. The house connection socket testing device makes it possible to do a leak test of house connection sockets (integrated house connections) and pipe sockets according to DIN EN 1610 or DIN 4033. Main tubes with a diameter of DN 300 - DN 700, and house connection pipes with a diameter of DN 100 - DN 210 can be locked. The house connection socket testing device has two inflatable tyres for sealing the main tube. There is a positioning tube in the “testing area”, which is positioned on the house connetion by swivel movements and camera monitoring. After this positioning an MDA stop-off bag will be pulled into the house connection over a feed device, hence providing the sealing. Renovation technology The series of reconstructing packers, short and longer packers as well as flexible packers, is the basis with the offered incidentals of a professional repairing system for long-term repair of defective pipe lines and canals.
